yea i just want to know what can be the cause of my vtec....when my car hits vtec it does not want to accelerate...instead the vtec and the car is studdering...my car doesnt even reach my redline it feels as if redline is at 6...but sometimes i think when i frist start off driving the car, vtec will put normal....then later on it starts to happen after i've driven for awhile....

u change ur oil regularly? sometimes bad oil can screw up the solenoid and the inner workings of vtec. or maybe its just that u have an intermitant solenoid so vtec doesn't engage strongly or at all...

you need to check, change, or fill your vtec fluid

your muffler bearings could have gone out, take it to a muffler shop and ask them if they can repack your muffler bearings, i think shops charge like 20bucks to do it.

another good idea would be to check your flux capacitor, when that starts acting up it throws the whole vtec engagment all off, just check on that.
