Is it true that in GA your tint can be only 20% on your car?

I heard in the past few years that you can go lower on your tint. Now I heard law makers changed that back to where it was in the beginning...

If this is correct that sucks. 20% tint... man you can see everything... its mainly a see-thur car..!!

Im pretty sure that the legal tint is 32%.

I have 20% on my car and have gotten two tickets for it.

Cops in atlanta have become really strickt on tint now. I have to drive with my windows down all the time.

dude....u dont know what ur talking about....35% is fuckin see-thru. 20% is actually pretty dark. And law is 32% all around now with only a 6" strip across the windshield

What would be the point in getting the tint then in GA?

If cops can have a tint thats pitch black why cant we the citizens in GA do the same. This is all B.S crap from the state of GA.

yea dude.. the tint law is 32% tint.. but the thing is, that u have a 3% allowance for ur tint.. so say u get pulled over, and ur tint is 29%, then ur good. but any lower than that and they can write u a ticket or sum bs.. i only know this cuz when i got pulled over they checked my tint and it was 29% and he told me about the 3% thing. so 20% dude, that aint cuttin it, lol.

its only 32% for your front driver and passenger window there is no law on the rest of your windows. this is so if you get pulled over the cops can see if you have a gun or some shit like that but if you roll the windows down when your getting pulled over you should be straight, 2 of my cars had 15% or less and i never had any trouble from the cops.

Get 35 done and get a friend to tint your winshield it looks like 15 but its legal. Cops never check your winshield, they cant. They have a device that goes over both sides of the windows (you have to roll them down a few inches) to check the transparentness. PM me if you need this done its 150 no questions asked "factory tinted winshield option"

if a cop sees you with a tinted windsheild you will get a ticket if you are pulled over...tinted windsheilds are illegal

your vin is below the windshield. do 35% all the way around including your windshield and you'll never get caught I do it all the time for customers you really can't tell.. Or put a darker strip under the 35% and that really tricks the cops, that way they pay attention to the strip and not the tinted windshield..

If you know what to look for you can tell if a windshield is tinted. It makes it even easier if you have a tint strip at the top too.

look at the edges of the window were the dots are you can tell the difference when a window is tinted to when it isn't.
