Hello guys.
I was talking to my Latin teacher at school, and we were trying to think of ways to raise some money for a local charity like the rainbow house. I suggested to her we have a kind of little car meet/show. I was thinking of having like a car show contest and have a few importatlanta people come as judges. I was thinking maybe charge $10 per car to come in and all the benefits would go to a local charity like the rainbow house. We wanted to do this in the Spring time when it gets a little bit warmer. So i would like some input from you guys, tell me what other things we could possibly do there, i was thinking burnout contest. and the meet would most likely be at TARA Stadium in Jonesboro. so LMK if this is a good idea and i also want to see what would be a good date for everyone ( one that wouldn't be on the same day as like a bigger meet or event) so lots of people show up.
We just thought this would be a really good way to raise some money, and everyone would have fun with it to.

i will post any new updates here to keep you guys informed about progress

Update 12/6/06

ok so my teacher is calling Tara stadium today to set up a time, i asked her to see if we could have a burnout contest as well, it will most likely be in the parking lot if we do. I've got some time to plan it all, so i'm going to see about finding some judges then, we are trying to set the date up as either april 7th or april 14th. and even if your car doesn't look all that good, just come on down, it will be nice to just see other peoples cars, meet some cool people and the money is definately going to a very worthy cause. We are giving the money to rainbow house, and some of it to a girl at our school who has cancer. so i really everyone is going to have a lot of fun and we are going to be helping some people out at the same time. We are also going to try and make this an anual thing so keep that in mind as well.
i'm really excited about this!!

if you need drifters i'll get mad sideways if you buy me lunch...

on another note if you get it so that the donation of 10$ to be in the car show is a tax write off maybe more people will come...

If your going to make it a contest, then your going to have to have trophies and different classes for certain cars. But GREAT spot to have it. The parking lot is huge and the judging can go on in the actual stadium where you can inform everyone of the winners over the PA system. That would be hot. Have the winner cars roll up to the front for everybody to see. A good date would be a Saturday at the beginning of spring. Hell make it somewhere near "SPRING BREAK". Just my 2 cents. Any other questions pm me.

IDK if they will alow drifting at that parking lot, but i'll see, i doubt it, but i'll still check.
and i also talked to her about the tax idea and we both agreed it was a good idea, so we'll try to do that as well.
