if it's anything like where I work, they are probably full staffed [probably even over staffed] at this point, it's already so close to christmas and black friday is already gone.

I used to work there at store 504... Anytime after a week after applying go in, talk to the area supervisor (the area you applied in)... Dress up, just be like I put in an application and I just wanted to check on the status. Be vigilant about it(i think your application only lasts for like 30 days then they delete it), show some initiative and you'd get in...GO AT AN OFF HOUR SO ITS NOT AS BUSY or you'll be more of an annoyance... be very friendly and well groomed whenever you go in after putting your application in. I had to go in like 2 times... and I had a friend pushin for me... they got me in like mid summer of 03 i believe... i can only guess it'd be that much easier this season. They need seasonals like mad, but I dont know if its too late, you better either get in ASAP or its gonna be super hard... NET (new employee training) lasts like 2 weeks, so if they want you trained before the end of the holiday season its kind of cutting it short... then shortly after the season is over they lay off a shitload of people (not so true about keeping people, they do keep some BUT NOT MANY)

What that means is that don't quit during the season or it will fuck me over and make things harder for me... we will fire you once we have milked you... trust me best buy is not a good place to work for a long term job.

I worked at 504 for 3 weeks in Mobile and MP3s. I applied for Car Audio Installation and wasn't called back. I had a reference, but that didn't help me much. I called them a few times over the course of about two weeks and finally, they gave me an interview. After 5 interviews, I was hired.

Worst job I've ever had. Acronyms, morning meetings, and downstocking FTL. Best Buy sucks for employment.
