View Full Version : Is it bad that I want a different car already?

I don't know if its just me, but I get bored with things really, really fast. I already want to spend money on another car. I've always had an interest in the 93-96 Mitsubishi Mirage because you can swap a 4G63 from an Eclipse in and put all the Evo 1-3 bodywork on it. The thing is, I don't have a lot of money. In fact, I just bought my current car like two months ago. Only things I have actually done to it are some cheap wheels, nice Pirelli tires, and a set of coilovers. This has happened before, with my 240sx. After I had had it a few months, I was already bored with it. I feel like I'm betraying my cars. Does anyone else have difficulty with this?

if your car starts giving you problems though, that's a different story. i had a '95 talon and it started to piss me off, so i kicked it to the curb. i did like that car though... it was my first :(

Haha well, my 240sx was stock, but I had all the parts to turbocharge it at one point. It didn't really give me any problems. I guess your right, maybe I do have car commitment issues. Its not that I don't like my Jetta.

I know how you feel, I'm the same way. Usually after a year or so I start to think of something else to buy, I guess once I find that perfect car, I'll keep it. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, if you get tired of it there is no point to keep it imo. Just do whatever makes you happy

Thats a very costly side of tuning to get into. Most VIP cars are hot though.

BTW, this is what I'm talking about doing to a Mirage, minus the AWD conversion. (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/642406)

Naw, you;re not alone in this reguard. lol I've had my Celica since January, & I'm thinking of trading it/selling it also. Now my motivation is a little different. I bought mine riced ( GOD I hate that ridiculous term), & now with my money comming along nicely, I'm finding it'll be more expensive trying to de-rice it. lol
So I'll be taking it off the street after taxes, buying a CRX, or a 240 to DD, then project the Celica, maybe just tear it down, then re-build it. I love cars, so it's my intent to own every car I've always wanted to get into/drive.lol
Plus gotta find space for project Supra anyhow, so either the Regal, or the Celi will have to go.....Vegeta
