The hail is up with this? I know it's been around. Is it like any other downloader like Limewire? Later, QD.

Pretty much like limewire as far as function goes minus one place for all the files (with torrents i use google and certain sites). Does that answer your question, or were you looking for a more detailed response?

Nah. That was cool. Thanks. I am wanting some software, but don't really like to download from Limewire when it comes to that. Later, QD.

bittorent is limewire's daddy for large files (IE software & entire cds) etc. i use bittornado because you can throttle the speed and i use torrentspy.com to find torrents.

Alright BitTorrent is nothing like limewire except for the fact that it's p2p.
Torrents are links to split up files hosted on the "seeders" computers. When you combine all of this together it makes up the file.
Limewire just downloads the file straight from another computer which in turn is more vulnerable.
Bittorrent is pretty safe ;)
An easier alternative is a program called Ares and it's a p2p program that's not as buggy.

If you would have read my post i said "in function", meaning it does the same thing. I know about seeding and what not but i did not think he wanted the info.
been using it for years on the larger downloads....peer 2 peer rules........

Torrents rule for downloads. I use it all the time for DVDs and software . like unkn said the bit torrent is pretty safe. I've been using it for aobut a year now and never had any problems. I liked it way better than Limewire
