the sound of a frustrated high-schooler who is being forced to take the SAT's for the 3rd time 1st time i went in with not studying or anything... scored a 16xx, 2nd time i scored a 2180 after actually studying and realizing this isn't like other tests.... why i have to take it a 3rd time... i don't fuckin kno :2up:

yeah, they changed the scoring system I think in 05 or something? a friend of mine who was still in high school told me she got a 1800 or something like that, and I thought she was full of shit. lol

I know back on the 1600 standard I made a 1250 - first try around. Didn't even study ( I woke up that morning with my mom reminding me I had my SATs :lmfao: )

My gf at that time, who was a straight A all honors and AP class - made like a 700... she was bawling, then asked me what I got... and I wouldn't tell her, and she found out and man... :lmfao: 700... -snickers-

The thing with the SAT is that it doesn't test what you DO know, it tests on what you CAN know - its the ACT that tests you on what you do know ;)

they have an essay section now iirc and it's also worth 800



I had a 1480 when i took it...my friend she took the new one and was like, i got a 1760...i was like you're full of shit...it only goes to 1600 lol

yes it is graded out of 2400 points. there is a writing section on the test and it can really bring up or bring down your grade so a couple hundred point difference between a couple of tests is very possible

it is graded out of 2400, but when people say their sat scores, they still sound it math/verbal only not counting the essay part and its out of 1600....so therefore i got a 1290 on the sat, and i have no idea what i got on the essay because no school truly gives a rats ass about that.

not true - if you end up doing better on one section, they basically take the best scores of however many tests you took and compile it to your overall score
