What about an 04+? And if you are doing mods that would necessitate a new tranny I am sure you would have the money to get one. Plus you would save a shit ton of money by not buying an STI. Finally, how money STI's are under $19K, I don't think any unless they are salvaged titles.

That's right, if you drive the WRX at all , its going to break. Hell, I think they just recalled all of the WRXs because of the massive flood of broken trannys.

Get a compression test, see if its ever had any sort of Engine Management also.

Find out the typical mods. If he's got an MBC, blow off valve, and an intake, Id steer clear lol

Also, the 04/05s have an issue with closed loop and open loop delay. Its a very dangerous situation where you can run 14.7AFRs at full boost. Only way to fix this is with engine management.

Subaru owners are like a little mafia, if you can find his name you should be able to search around on Nasioc or WRXatlanta and find the whole history of the car if he's done any modding and gets online.

Sounds like a good price for an 05 also. If you are planning on making much over 300whp an STI would really be cheaper in the long run.

oh .. his user name for WRXatlanta is .. SykoSooby.

the car is now stock, and the mods he used to have is ..

K&N Typhoon intake, Perrin turbo tubing, already wired for Subwoofer, and New tires
Included but Not installed- Utech piggyback, RC 750 injectors, Perrin uppipe, and megan racing H-brace

like what Mr. Nemesis said .. I could get all those checked up at the dealers righ??

bc i wanna buy a car without any problems and stuff lol ..

thanks tho ..

I dont know him but its good that he's being honest about what mods it used to have on it. None of those should have caused much damage, have you driven the car?
