got tired of listening to turndowns under the car coupled with not being able to pull in or out of my driveay without massive scraping involved so i decided to order up some piping and fire up the welder. the previous setup was straight 2.5" pipes to some knockoff flowmasters and turndowns right at the rear swaybar. new setup is twin 2.5" into single 3" and out through a cheap ebay muffler. it runs up nice and high under the car so no more scrapage issues and the sound is more vette than camaro now.

i will be rebuilding the setup later once i can build some headers for it but for now this will work just fine. with the old setup it made 332/326 with about 120 miles on the new motor, i'll probably be heading back to see if the exhaust + breakin miles have done any good along with some tuning with HPT to get the most out of it. shooting for about 360-365whp with tuning time :D.

Very nice, interesting muffler choice. I was looking at one of those a while back. Hows the quality of it?

shit, i can do that on spray alone once i build headers ;). could probably get close with these stock C5 manifolds but they are a little restrictive since these engines love to breathe.

quality is the same as all the other stainless robotic tig welded mufflers i've ever seen up close. welds are all nice and clean, core is the usual straight through perforated deal with what i assume is standard fiberglass packing. i don't expect much from a $30 muffler, lol.

as much as i like doing this stuff i'll have to decline. i rarely have time to do my own stuff and it really sucks trying to do this on the ground. there are plenty of good muffler shops in ATL that could do it much quicker and probably for a similar price since i don't get piping for anything other than retail prices.
