Cat ran away

We took my mom's cat to Ohio with us over the Holiday and he ran to my room and wouldn't come out. Its took us 3hrs to get through Atlanta last wednesday so it took us 11hrs total to get home. We had him in a cage in the back of the car the whole time. He didn't make a peep. When we got home he went around my parent's house then ran to my room and hid under my bed. My mom took him outside, he ran off tot he neighbor's yard, I found him and brough him back in. My mom took him out the next day and he ran off again. I found him in the neighbor's yard again and he ran towards my parent's house, saw my dad and took off the other way. I saw him breifly last night when he was sitting under my brother's car. He ran off again when I went to go get him. Now I'm not sure if I'll see him again since ran away in a different state. What should I do?

awwwww. You should take his food bowl putside and shake it around and call him. Does he usually go outside? Cats are pretty good about knowing their surroundings and finding their way home. They have territories.

My neighbors stole my little cat (although I have no way to prove it).
Little manx cat, about 12" long and 2-3 lbs.
Yeah, the mean little fucker ate my neighbor's pet squirrel, a few weeks later their pet rabbit which was twice the size of the cat.......

I would set out food and a litter box.. My cat got outside once and he ran up a tree for 9 days.. he would come cry at the door at 3 am.. and we never knew until I went downstairs to get water and heard him..

my dog ran away.....but we brought another dog in the house so maybe thats why....i was sad (i was only 10)......so i hope it comes back :D

I have two 1 yr old cats that are very well behaved/trained if you want a free replacement. My wife wants to give the cats away to a good home.

Man we're actually starting to think it died now because about an hour after the last time I saw him I heard a bunch of people chanting, yelling, howling and screaming like animals. They have a lot of satanism and witchcraft where my parents live so I'm slowly starting to think maybe he was apart of a ritual. If that is the case he left a mate and two babies. :(

cats will always leave home to die, they know when they are about to die so they just bounce one day when they get a chance, its kidda nice cause u never find them dead they just rot away so your not a emotional wreck, besides its a fuckin cat for cryin out loud. we use to throw all the stays in my neighborhood into the backyard w/ the pits and let them have a field day watchin those fukin cats try 2 run away from 3 80pound pitbulls," i say its my own animal control!
