long story short, after changing a tire, driving home, I downshifted, rpms died, gas wouldn't bring the RPMs back to life ( I thought the flywheel wasnt catching again ), let out the clutch, did the clutch start for starting up a car, shot out a 3foot flame and heard my engine start whanging away :(

I fucking hate rod knocks :(

Is this quest you speak of?

Ya it was werid last night I was doing a high speed country road route home just for the hell of it and my clutch slipped once and then went back to normal I was like WTF. It didnt do it the rest of the way home or any today...it was odd...

well i have a few. but i figured it would be a dd... because a stripped out 240 with a welded diff and steel pole suspension is kinda... eh

lol that sounds like a wonderful DD...does it get you from point A to point B?

it does. 14psi is fun.. maybe too much fun as i go through a set of tires every 2 weeks.

the problem is it has an origin kit on it and im always worried about shit. plus it has a full shave and tuck. not exactly the most reasonable dd

they're awesome DD's if you take care of them, make sure everything is in check, and if any mods were done that they were done right, if its stock, refresh all gaskets and just do some upkeeping maintanence, then preventative maintenence - they're pretty damn dependable - I'm just SOL because this engine was through an accident, and the previous owner built it - hell when we replaced a blown headgasket we found half of it missing and the head was sealed up with rtv sealant..... and it boosted @ 18psi for about 6-8 months

heh, half a headgasket will do it everytime.
its just hard trying to find a clean one

you may have never heard a rod knock, but once you hear that noise, there is no mistake. lol. its the loudest damn noise ever, its like someone is smacking the shit out of your engine with a hammer.

I have never heard a rod knock either. I have just heard a rod break at 8200 rpms and put two holes in the block, trash all the other rods, break one piston, crack another piston, break 4 valves, and scar the combustion chamber

you should - they're kinda addicting - I mean I flipped one and bought another, and the engine ( which was out of the flipped one ) has something that just went internally, so I'm looking at every option in still trying to keep it :D
