SOLD ON 12/11 (My Dad's B-day)!

I've decided to build an IT car to race in the SE SCCA Region. This year I was the 2006 SCCA Time Trials Champion / Street Mod. The IT Road Racing class is the next rung on the ladder for me. To do so, I need to find a B13 SE-R, and a trailer, AND a Truck to pull it with. Regretably, that means selling my EVO 9 and my NX2000. Racing stinks when you dont have a sponsor

The NX was my labor of love for 4 years. I wanted to build a 300hp sleeper - that's a daily driver. I bought the car in Florida in 2002 (no rust) and have proceeded to make it into a great street car. But here are the specs - bear in mind, I kept every receipt/document for every part - and that will go to the buyer.

The engine is a SR20DET that was completely freshened by me over the spring. Every bearing, every gasket, every nut and washer was removed and replaced. The block was washed and the bores honed. New pistons rings, new valve seats, new valve springs and retainers. After the break-in, the motor put down 231whp and 232wtq at 10psi in its stock configuration. I've since added a GT28RS turbo and front mount intercooler. The car now makes 287whp at 13psi. Below are the specs -

No slips - but I beat a 2007 Sti with a reflash - driven by Doug fr/ Topspeed. We raced 4 times. I pulled away every time.

I'd est mid 12's, easy shifting.

yeah I need to upgrade the turbo on my Z... it weights 2425 from the factory, but the interior is stripped, a/c and heat is gone, radio is gone, no idea what it weighs now, but its gotta be nice and low :D

with rb20 power and a garrett GT turbo and some good tuning this thing is going to be sick

I want your car too haha :bump:

SmokinJoe
11-16-2006, 05:33 PM
Thanks for the props :D Someone is going to get a super badass NX. If I wasnt building a race car and needed the space in my garage - I'd never sell it.

The GT28RS has so much more - and at 13lbs its on the mild side. The engine can handle 17-18psi - with ARP headstuds and metal head gasket already installed. The inj and MAF will easily handle that much boost too.

Yep - 230WHP! Something like 270crank on the T25. :bump: It's got another 50whp now.

I've seen this car in every stage of its build. Everything was done right, lots of sweat, blood and tears in this car. I have yet to ride in a front wheel drive turbo that I have been as impressed with as this car. It pulls amazingly hard and no hint of torque steer!! This is the ultimate sleeper: the black front mount blends right in with the car, the exhaust is quiet, only hint is one when you hear it cam"ing at idle.

I've witenessed it dust quite a few cars. I ran against in with my heavily mod'd SR powered 240, which was putting down 380 whp, and was amazed at how it kept up with me. Not only is quick, but handles astonishingly well compliments of the coilover suspension.

If I didnt' already have too many cars, I'd be all over this. Someone is going to get an amazing deal here, everything is practically new on the car. They'll get a car with balls to the wall power and reliability of a new drivetrain. You'd be hard put to find a car that could walk away from a lightly mod'd EVO or STI for under 10G's and be reliable enough to be a daily driver.

Someone better jump on this before I do something crazy like sell my EVO and pick this up myself.

I was able to make 300whp on my t25, but my clutch slipped like a mofo.

So we turned boost down a bit and I was hitting 276whp daily on stock t25.

Nice!! The kevlar Clutchmasters holds the power really nicely and doesnt shudder at all. The clutch feels smooth like stock.

SmokinJoe

The GT28 is capable of much, much more power. Right now, it breaks loose the wheels in third! It's an easy high 12sec car.
