Vitara Pistons

I blew my fully built single cam. The head is still in good condition. i heard about some pistons that alot of people use for single cams which were vitara. Just wondering if they were good or not or if someone has used them before. I was using Wiseco pistons and eagle rods with a factory crank that has been knife edged. let me kno i will be rebuilding it soon as soon as i find out about those pistons.

but seriously, never heard of them but i like arias pistons peronally...only thing ive used in my boosted cars (3) and never had a problem

ive been reading into single set ups for a while for a build im doing currently. the vitara pistons seem to do the job, there are plenty of people over at h-t. search in the FI thread, there is a post about 200 pages long of single cam set ups so you can find something in relation to your set up to see how it will do.

Vitaras are Suzuki pistons, they work, ive seen a few 300whp motors on HT. dont have any personal experience with them.

i always run real pistons IE CPs, JEs

vitaras are very strong pistons for CAST and lower your compression (i believe) into the mid to high 8's. at any rate if you already blew through some forged pistons, go back with forged pistons and a little safer tune. don't take a step backwards with cast pistons.

also, the machining nec to get them on the rods will end up setting you back and you're no better off than getting forged at that point.
