I have an old Dell laptop that is just gathering dust in my room.
It is a Dell Cpi 266XT. Pentium 2, 266MHz, 128 MB RAM, 10 GB Hard drive, CD-ROM, no network jack, no modem (you would need pcmcia cards for those). It does have a wireless B card, though.
It is currently running Windows 2000 on it.
Damage: The plastic tooth on the latch that holds it closed (when you turn it off and fold it up) is broken. I (think I) have the piece that broke off, but it is small enough that it doesn't make sense to epoxy it (for it would just break again).
It is a decent laptop for browsing, or taking some of your homework (essay writing, matlab, etc) on the road. The battery seems to only last ~1 hour (haven't tested it... but its an old battery)... so it would *not* make a good portable DVD player (unless you had somewhere to plug it in).
I'll put a photo of it up when I get my hands on a digital camera that works! (mine is broken)
$100
PM me if you need any more details
