I am selling a nearly complete motor.. I have no idea what it does, i just know i tried to put it in my crx and the engine mounts didnt bolt up...it has been sitting in my garage for nearly a year now.

I paid 600 for it, ill take 200 for it now.. local pickup or delivery in atlanta for a small fee...

I dont know where it came from, I dont know what it does, I dont know anything about it.. supposedly, it was given a valve job and is new internally top to bottom.. I cant verify that though...

I may have additional parts for it of you pick it up.. I acumulated a mass of parts for the swap and i dont know what goes with what.. so i might have an intake, might have a distributor, might have a dozen parts for it.... i really dont know...

I have references available, i am regal75 on ebay with 100 feedback, I have a few hundred people on caraudioforum as well as icixsound.com who will vouch for me as well.

I just need to clean out my garage, and it is either going to someone who can use it or it is going to be sold for scrap.

thank you

if it says ZC on the front of the motor its a JDM motor

if its says D16A8 or something of that nature, its a 89 integra motor, an is worthless to the 88-91 crx si crowd

wow.. fast responses...

only if it was a SOHC ZC motor..

Supposedly it came out of a guys crx, but it came with no engine mounts.. i tried to mod my a/c equipped d15b engine mounts to fit, but no go.. it may fit for all i know.. i had so many problems figuring this out on my own that i called in a professional to help put a motor in.. he (a close friend) found a d15b vtec that would "drop right in" .... 6 months and 9 times pulling the motor out and we finally got that one to fit.. i probably could have fit the ZC in there, but he was stuck on the vtec motor so we went with that instead.. i will include all engine mounts i have.... the motor came with none, but ive got about a full set of d15b mounts for an 89 rex with it...

drunk.scotsm where are you located at?

Fayetteville, but i have a truck and work on NAS Atlanta in Smyrna, so I am all over town..

AirBrcak Whoaa a D-series DOHC !

Default zc swap

hey man.. i have a dohc zc swap from a 91 crx si.. it was pulled out for machining.. ported and polished with a 3 angle valve job.. will bolt into any crx or civic with d series mounts.. i have the longblock with alternator.. valve cover.. distributor... intake manifold.. a fuel rail and injectors.. also i have 91 si harness that was modded for the zc so it plugs into any crx ecu.. any d series axles will work too.. i have a tranny for it.. if your interested.. its a 91 si tranny with a phantom grip lsd.. and i also have a stage 2 clutch.. lmk
Forward Message"

I still have the harness as i used my stock harness and modded it... the distributor i should have, but it may have been a sacrifice to the d15bvtec.. i know i have the other distributor thingy that goes on the other camshaft.. i have the intake, though likely minus the tps.. injectors and rail i have, and a whole trashcan full of other parts which either go with this motor or came off the stock d15b... i also have the stock d15b ecu ill throw in for kicks if anyone wants it..the alt is gone though...well i have it, but it is locked up... yours if you want it... it died trying to pull the pulley off to put a gm alt on... :D 280A of fun for me...

the tranny is going into my rex though, so its not for sale...

the pics include the engine code.. it says ZC on it... dont know zc from abc so i dont know if it is a good thing...I just know i couldnt find any cars in about 15 junkyards with similar motors to steal mounts off of..

the pic you posted of the BLOCK CODE is on the back side of the motor, that has been added by someone.

it should say ZC on the FRONT of the motor where the tranny attatches

the pic you just took of the FRONT of the motor, needs to be angled down more, it should say ZC ON THE FRONT OF THE BLOCK

That's a brown top(Vacuum advance destributor) 86-87 integra ZC motor. It will fit the 84-87 Civic/CRX and the 86-89 Integra.

I think so too, since I never seen a zc valve cover with the "H" and honda on the top.

you want to sell that other tranny in your rex?? not the one you bought from the guy but the one you're pulling out.. is there anything wrong with that tranny??

PM me!!

The way you can tell the difference is the first gen zc, which came in the 84-87 Civic/CRX and the 86-89 Integra, has the VC bolts on the inside of the VC.

The second gen ZC, which came in the 88-9? Civic/CRX and the 90-9? Integra, Has the VC bolts on the outside of the VC.

The reason I know it's a brown top(86-87) is the engine stamp is on the back of the block, whereas the the black top(88-89) has the engine stamp on the front of the block like what your used to seeing on all other d-series blocks.

it appears to have a usdm 88-91 driverside mount.because the 86-89 integra dohc motor has a mount on the front.but get some pics of the block code.it will help you sell it im sure.

^^the 86-89 integra does not have a front mount. It has a driverside, tranny, and rear mount.
