On the way out of Byron Georgia, coming from Reynolds, a cop pulled me over doing 65 in a 50. 15 over.

However, he clocked me on Radar, as he was driving the opposite direction approaching me. He was not on the side of the road sitting at a stand still. Does that sound right to you all?

There was a car in front of me at the time. The thing that doesnt make sense is that he was driving towards me at speed. Now if Im thinking correctly, two objects approaching each other at a simliar speed are going to meet each other at a faster rate than if one object was at a stand still. Therefore the radar speed wasnt accurate.

yes, they have the radars set up to so that the can tag people while moving and it will calculate the speed against their own speed

Bingo. It's already built into their system to calculate and it will (unfortnately for you) hold up in court.

I dont think I was going 65. Im pretty sure I was going slower but hey who am I to argue with officer Chester.

Im not going to fight it, and Im not really concerned with the fine either, just wanted to make sure.

Its been forever since Ive been tagged with radar though. If it was laser, I wouldnt be posting this thread :ninja:

ive gotten pulled over doing 15 over like 3 times already, i went to court, and the prosecutor didnt even ask what i wanted, he just said ill lower this to 14 so you dont get any points or your insurance premium goes up... just thought id throw it out there. 1 point is 1 point and insurance will go up. its all up to you if you wanna take the drive there.

*im not saying this same strategy will work there but it has for me 3 times already. i paid the fine, and left with no points or increase in premium. its worth a shot, maybe?*
