Help! civic!

so i am driving home on fri and my car (90 civic hb w/ D16a6) bogs down and dies on me , it started back firin and losin all power like it wasnt gettin any gas , i checked dizzy , injectors , fuel pump , i am getting fuel pressure , and i am gettin spark , the only ecu code i am gettin is the speedo code , which it is not hooked up , i know my alt needs to be replaced , but even with a fully charged battery , it wont turn over all the way , that starter is spinnin fast enough and i have a fully charged battery , and a full tank of gas! i am not sure what my next step would be , any help would be GREATLY appreiciated , thanx for lookin fellas!:goodjob:

wow, the same thing happend to me friday night, when it started to bog down i keep down shiftin til i got to 2nd, then i up shifted back to 3rd and the car started drivin again...it happend to me like 3 or 4 times, anybody has any idea what it could be?

sounds sorta like the fuel pump is giving out? might be that sorta like it is starving the car for gas...

thats what me and my buddy thought , the pump is whirrin like it should be , and i have pressure to the eng compartment , will the pump still make noise when its bad?

no probelm...it shouldn't make any noise really, well noise that is noticible...i mean it has a very little whine but not anything noticeable at all...i would say go have it checked out...

sounds like the screw fell out of your distributor rotor

well then you should of jsut went with a nice little b16 or so the first time..:goodjob:

as someone else said, check the rotor button, sometimes the screw backs out.

I would be checking the MAIN RELAY under the dash, it could be shorting out, causeing the Fuel pressure to fall.

I would also check TIMING

timing and screw are gettin checked in the mornin , as far as the main relay , it is clickin on like it should , will it still click if it its bad?

my shit is fixed!!!!! it ended up being the rotor button , lmfao , as soon as i took off the dizzy cap , the screw fell and so did the button , i put it all back together and she took off like a bat out of hell!!!!!! thanx everyone who helped! +1 for all who gave input! MODS please lock this!
