yeah yeah....seriously though...i can't hook worth a shit on nitto drag radials in this cold weather due to insane torque production! 650 rwtq at 3500 rpm is hard to put down on cold roads! I'll be going to the track sunday though to see what kind of times i can run.

dunno would have to be pretty high cause when i ran lightspeeds old 240 i think we were starting around 55-60 and in 3rd i would light them up everytime running only 10 psi and have to shortshift into 4th.....the car really is strongest running from a slow roll since the powerband is like idle-6000 rpm max...

though i could drive out on the slicks :D but Barrett is too damn far to do that

Theres no one thats in emotion down here except sharif and this other guy but i guess he stopped showing. Those guys are all in the midatlantic region. My brother is "dan the man" on that site its a white evo.

I had a pretty good conversation with the owner of the Forged Performance 350z, he is also the owner of Forged Performance, when i talked to him he said it made 693rwhp and that was before a few recent mods. Im not sure if he is with team emotion although it says so on his front bumper. Just my 2 cents.

Oh, I was out and about I was chasing another Supra, but the guy wouldn't run me. And then we asked some guy in a EVO, he wanted to race then I said for money and he said no... I was out... ask hydroshutter, jtownaccord, and there were a few others. I didn't get any races that night... I tried to race a guy in a GT2 Porsche but for some reason he didn't want to play... I tried my hardest for at least 8 or 9 miles... I think I made the move too quick and scared him... I had the car sideways in both lanes @ 55-65mph :lmfao:

i think you may have told me before but do you have a gt or cobra? just curious since you said you had cobra pumps but i guess you can swap those in a gt with the cobra tank?

Thanks for the comments about Team Emotion...by far the best/winning'est car club on the East Coast. They have some incredible cars.

My car is putting down about 600-650whp on pump gas....depending on what kind of dyno we measure it on. With race fuel....not really sure. :)

60mph roll and your on..I doubt either of us will have much luck hooking up. No money....I have enough already. :)

350z's are not designed/setup for drag racing, so I dont expect to compete with the 1000whp supras...that is not how we build cars. :) It took the Supra guys many years to get to 1000whp....we're getting pretty darn close in just 1.5 :)

It took the Supra guys many years to get to 1000whp....we're getting pretty darn close in just 1.5 :)
Lets be fair though...youre talking about a different generation of cars. In 1993, the VPC was the best and only way out there to really get imports to make big power. Also, there was nowhere near the selection of turbos that we have now. Regardless, people like Chris Kinard and Vinny Ten were making 600+ whp on stock motors by what...1996-97 or so? And, people did not know the limits of the stock motors, because it was hard to reach those limits. Once the AEM and other standalones became mainstream, the sky became the limit almost immediately. And, your talking about bone stock longblocks making well over 800 whp.
The Z has been out for 3 years now, hasnt it?
Anyway, I didnt intend this to be a supra vs 350 debate, I just wanted to get my opinion out there :goodjob: Ive got a Z also, and I love them both. Ive seen your car and it sure seems like a sweet ride. Id like to try a run sometime also, if youre up for some photo ops.

Lightspeed, the Z has been out for 3 years, but the first year was totally dead. Nobody even touched the cars. The first turbo kits were launched in Jan 2004, so ok...almost two years. But we were at 600whp more than a year ago. My car makes 600whp'ish, but others we have built for customers are in the mid 700's range. Either way, dyno numbers mean crap to me, becuase dynos can vary dramatically based on a myriad of factors.

But you are 100% correct. The stock VQ35 block is built with toothpics. The 2JZ is one of the strongest OEM motors ever made, and we've tuned our share of them too. The tight confines, and V engine configuration makes turbo selection and spacing a MAJOR issue, so we have different challenges to deal with, that were not a factor with the 2JZ crowd.

FAH, no money, and what kind of car do you have, and what type of setup are you running. The stuff we do to my car is 100% fully disclosed...just curious what you are running.

Oh, lightspeed, I have never had a water meth kit on my person car. Just running the HKS FCON VPro for tuning, and all the other goodies....no spray. Just two little turbos. :)

Its cool youre running an FCON...Ive heard those are the trick setups to have, presuming you have the patience to take it to an authorized tuner for it all the time. I dont guess you have the problem lol ;) Ive heard they are very consistent and make excellent power, but I like the ability to tweak on things myself LOL One of the baddest supras I know of runs that setup.
Keep in mind that the 350 is starting with .5 liter more displacement, and it was developed with many years advancement in engine technology than the venerable inline toyota motor. I would wager that, if the 2jz supra had been introduced in 2003 with the exact same engine, tuners would have made rediculous power right out of the gate... The engine management and turbo technology is so much better now that 10 years ago that it would have been a no-brainer.
Anyway, Ill let you and fahque continue...sorry to bust in.

Sharif's car is sick. I was able to see how his car really works this past weekend. There is no doubt in my mind of how much power that car is making.
I can also say honestly that this appears to me to be one of the more reputable shops around. Sharif went out of his way to be the perfect host at his shop, not once, but twice. He even allowed us to tune on his own car, and learn how his dyno and his FCON work. Not many shops are willing to be as hospitable, and still be professional all the way through. I was very impressed with the shop in general, and for those of you that know me personally, you know how harshly I can behave towards shops that are below par.

Sharif, thanks again for above and beyond the call of duty.
