crap, for the first time ever my engine is ticking and quite abit.at idle when you rev or drive.it was running great this morning but after work started it up and it starts ticking and kinda slugish.checked the oil it was fine and changed last week. i think its the vlaves or rockers ticking.kinda sounds like its coming from the back of the head where the intake manifold bolts to the head. how can i be sure thats what it is? and how would i go about adjusting them?

yes, manuals are definitly a big help. I just cleaned my lifters a couple weeks ago. It is a pretty easy job, just kinda long a teidious (sp?) basically you use a needle to compress the lifter, pump whatever oil is in them out, and let them soak in some sort of parts cleaner over night. Did you maybe use a thicker grade oil when you changed it last, or use any addatives?

how much? oh and i do need them adjusted for sure. i took off the valve cover only to find that one of the lock nuts was not installed,so the screw backed out. i did not have a guage so i tightend it a little and bought a nut for it and now no more noise.but i noticed some slack in some of the rockers so i think they need to be adjusted.oh and what is LMA's?
