damn i used to be all upsessed with every FF game...i have all but the last 3 or 4 that have come out..i know my favorite is Final Fantasy VII..that game rules imo...

after finishing ffx, i lost all affections towards the series....i didnt even get halfway through ffx-2....the ff series began to die with ff9...i hope this upcoming one will uplift my spirits

Yea ffx-2 sucks it was like watch salior moon it was all girly and shiet but ff12 will be kick ass

No, but they released a couple of them on the PS1. Look up FF Anthology and Chronicles.

I'm hoping XII turns out to be good... I haven't played too many games lately and I need to get out of this rut since I can't seem to find a new copy of Kingdom Hearts 2.

If you have a Sam's membership, you can get FFXII for $44.84 + tax.
You can also pick up Dragon Quest VIII for $17.24 + tax if you like RPG's.

the games opening video rocked pretty good, but has a strong star wars like feel. still getting used to the new combat system.. i kinda wish they would of stuck with the tried and true system they had up until ffx-2... the turn based stuff heh, still trying to figure out the new stuff.

Watched my roommate play it yesterday. Game looks pretty sweet. Graphic wise, it's impressive but I'll hold my judgement until I actually play it and see the story.

Um so yeah I have never played any of the Final Fantasy games before, but yeah the movies or videos whatever they are called are really cool. I didnt really like the whole combat system thing kind takes the fun out of it. I mean I dont know how the other games were, but yeah I just really enjoy the story and how its set up so yeah I am going to really get into this game hopefully one day if I can peel the controller from Chris' hands lol......:D

the combat system is what makes the game challenging...unlike say others where u have to mash the buttons as fast as you can and have to be at level 999999999 to beat some1. the take turn system lets you actually have a chance to come up with strategies and tactics to defeat tougher opponents and also allows for a wide variety of moves such as magic,summon,specials, etc... whereas others, you got one attack button, and whoever mashes it faster wins...

Yeah I mean I kind like it in a way cause I am not very good at combat style games and I mean i does give me a chance to actually do well in it. I just need to play it more cause I really do like it. I didnt know how all the other games were cause it was the first time I had ever played any FF so yeah I still like it alot:D

So far, the game's very promising with only a little bit of the story line revealed so far. I'm stopped playing when I was reaching the end of the dungeon. Its about time they came out with a rich storyline (hopefully) instead of the previous crap (barbie-style X2 and horrible mmo-style xi).
