i dont really know much about the ca besides the fact that its cheaper. but what would yall recomened that i put in my s13? what are the diff. between and sr and ca?

the general breakdown:

-CA's are cheaper than SR's
-CA's have a better valvetrain design than the SR, shim and bucket vs. a rocker arm setup on the SR that likes to break here and there when revved a lot.
-SR's tend to make better power, but the CA can also be built up
-replacement parts are usually easier to find/cross reference on the SR than the CA
-much larger aftermarket support for the SR.


both are pretty easy swaps to complete, just depends on what attributes you like in a motor. the SR motors are getting harder to find reasonably priced these days, so the CA might just fit the bill due to financial reasons. if you want a little better power in stock(ish) trim then the SR is where it's at. if you don't want to hunt for cool aftermarket goodies then the SR wins again.
