Yes Quiktrip is hiring a large amount of people! They are hiring for both managers and clerks. I dont know all the info on clerks but i recently became a manger for QT and the money is nice. They say i can get 38,000 to 42,000 your first year and they is at the lowerest postion of manager. You can move up the ladder quick from what i understand.
*Weekly pay (10.36 an hours start, 40 hours are normal 10.36 and 7 are overtime, automatic. Your schedule never changes, untill promotion. You can work double and get overtime!) Roughly bring home 400.00 a week.
*Monthly bonus (this all depends on how good of a store you have, all depends on sales (inside), gas sales, and inventory. 400.00 - 900.00 +
*Monthly Customer Service Bonus (this is the average of shops you get the average has a set amount, but this all depends on how good your store looks and if you say the standard sayings to all customers.) 100.00 - 300.00
*Normal benifits plus some.
There is alot of info so check out Quiktrip.com for more info, if you have any questions pm me.

hiring because big turn around
They do this every year.. I use to work for them as a night manager, money was nice but crappy hours. I think I was there 9pm to 7am, anything over 40hrs was time and a half, working on holidays was time and a half and even Saturdays. So if you worked on a holiday that landed on a Saturday you check would look $$.
Downside was my days off was like a Monday & Tuesday, buncha crap.
you forgot to mention they start you off on the nite shift with crap hours...10 pm at nite till 7 am...horrible hours with no chance of getting weekends off since the store manager gets them...if you don't mind working crappy hours and sleeping in the daytime go for it...I tried it for a week and discovered it wasn't for me...and your title should be janitor...all you do is clean bathrooms, clean drink machines, take out trash, and other crap work...I have managed at many places were I actually managed other peeps while working with them...on the nite shift there are no other peeps with you unlike the daytime shifts...also they love to relocate peeps all the time...no thanks...

You can start as high as a 2a and work days. If your good you can move up fast.
I work there right now Sun-Thursday 7am-3pm as Extra Relief. In a month or so im going to be probably moving up, from there all you do is bust ass and kiss more.
I met one kid whos been there like less than two years and he's a 1a, that's mon-friday and goooood pay... He's 20 pullin over 50k a year. Sure, it's a bit stressful because of the way you deal with people, but that's what makes or breaks you at QT. If you can deal your set.
It's a good company, but if you cross a supervisor or enough managers, and you aren't a bust your ass type of person, don't expect to move up (see: better hours and pay)

Cool I'm old enough to work there part time =D

I worked for QT for five years. Good money and benefits(if you're there long enough) ... SHITTY hours, shitty management rotation (sometimes I didn't know who I was working for) and misc corporate bullshit.
I now work half the hours and make twice as much. There are better jobs out there ;)

I figured it had to do with food.. They have fall behind BP connects and Racetracs... QT always thought they were The best out there.. LOL..
Idiots have 102 or so stores in metro atlanta and are falling behind now.. When the competetion are simply waxing them
I worked @ QT for 5 years. That company is nothing but a front. I made it All the way To MGR RELIEF and then realize how there buddy system worked there..
Either you kiss ass or if you are a female, simply sleep your way up.. SImple as that.
Money was/is good, but thats almost in any retail job once you start moving up.... I made 38K @ 18 as a 2a in 1998. That was the less money I ever made in one year since then. But That was a HIGH PROFIT store where the bonus base was sick. I went from PT-FT-CT-2A-RNA-IT-1A ER-1A- MGR RELIEF.. then quit for a better job and more Money and I was only 21.
QT = To much politics, I mean, most jobs have politics.. but they take the cake.

I hate kissing ass, but if the money is right I might give it a peck :P

what is the process for management can you get hired on as manager or is it better to start from ground up?

k, I have been at QT for the past five years, and the thread starter is correct, they are mass hiring right now because we are pulling up to sixty managers for a remodel in Jan. I can't really discuss the specifics of it, but it does have to do with food...as far as the competition waxing our ass, not happening...we have been planning this project for years, research, test stores, more research...it all started with the Drink Remodel back a couple of years ago, that was phase one of a huge remodel, now the second phase is hitting, and we need the people...I am on the remodel team now, so I know the in's and out's, the hiring has nothing to do with turn-over, it is replacing positions to fill what we need on the project. check it out, money is good, I am a clerk (one of the best out there) making 40k a year including bonus. and I work monday through friday.

we promote from within, you can only get hired on as entry level management (i.e. night assistant) but if you bust ass, and show them you are willing to work, then you can get promoted quicker. there are some politics involved, but you quickly learn how to detour around them. Like myself, I am the only clerk on the remodel team, everyone else is Management, so you gotta know how to work it.

Im not going to lie. You have to do that. Either Everybody loves you and you move up.... Or you piss somebody off and never get on the promo list.
But everybody seems to love me, so im going to run with it.

no, not bullshit, I just came off being a clerk trainer for two years last year, I was working towards getting promoted when I was asked to do this project, and the schedule of the project works well for school...I want to get promoted, but more importantly, I don't want to be at QT forever, so school works better, and besides, coming off this project next year, I stand a chance of going on Facility Support, which I am also interested in, I appreciate your opinion, I am not calling you out, but before you call me out, please make sure you have direction.
i was gonna try and get a job at the one here in Newnan, but someone said i had to goto Norcross for training? thats to far of a drive for me. so is this true?

No, I don't think I need direction when you do not explain yourself better.
This is what you said :

A clerk Trainer and a Regular Clerk are 2 totally diffrent. Yes, I do believe CT's make about 40K and a regular clerk makes about 20 to 25 unless they are in the Extra releif program or been there a while or are at Higher Bonus base store they may make a little more. But you need to explain how CT make the same as a 2A AKA second assistant manager or used to when I was there . Only diffrence is Hours.. A 2A work about 45 to 47 and CT's work 40.
Im sure somethings probably left since I left that place anyways.. But I doubt not much.. I can see it and have a few people that I still chat to.
+ I was there and went through the ranks.. So i know a thing or 2 about them.
I try not to talk out of my ass sometimes...... :goodjob:

As mgmt, you DELEGATE your clerks to do the cleaning. When I was a 2a it was so awesome, I considered it a career but then I was recalled back in the military. Night guy I guess does suck but you get paid a little more. I have a 4yr degree in business management and one year in computer science and would love to say forget getting a desk job and go back there. I am however a supervisor at Fry's electronics but starting to get burned out with it.

I was never a manager just got out of the military and started as a manager, now in 01 it was only like $9 something an hour so they have done alot of raises.
