Miata vs Mach1 Mustang (70's)

Ok ,i was hesitant about posting this because the possable BS factor, but....

I was comign down toward Atlanta last sat. night and i cruise by this nice clean 71ish Mach1. Pretty dark blue with white stripe on the side. Very clean car. Well, i was in the left lane minding my own and crusing along when the Mustang comes back up on me. Not thinking the guy is really going to play, i roll into 5th. To my suprise he drops and goes...damn. So knowing he's willing to do a little fun run, i catch up and drop to 4th and start easing up next to him. I guess he though i was going to fly by so as i get up to his bumper he steps on it, this time im ready. Since i was already movign about 3-5mph faster i had a advantage (that i didnt want), and rolled 4th into 5th and ended up a couple cars ahead at most. He also let off before i did... but i was ahead when he did.

So i just took off to get to my exit. But as soon as i got to my exit, he comes flying back up. Dammit. I cant resist a even race. So i get next to him again. Drop to 4th and we both hit it at the same time from about 60. So from 60 to about 110 we were dead even :D :goodjob: I was really thinking i was goign to get waxed hardcore. But it was fun as hell, i have him a big :goodjob: and got off the highway and went home.

Now there was another IA member with me in the car for verification :yes:

Thats the problem with muscle cars.. its hard to tell whats frast and whats not on the older ones... didnt they come with the 351 Windsor or Cleveland??? Shit, it could have had a 150shot on it as far as i knoew lol (then i would have been SPANKED). But yeah.. the run was fun.

Racing from a roll is not really that cars strong point. From a stop (if he can drive) it would chew you up. Or it could have been a fake.
