Wow. It was awesome !
It's my friend and lawyer who's car it is and he's a big car guy. He said "Let's take it for a ride" and then moments later pulled over and asked me to drive it.
Thank goodness I had that Maserati for the weekend 2 years ago or I would have been lost with that paddle shift.
It's bright yellow, but it's some sort of special edition so it had black mirrors, black roof and bonnet, and charcoal wheels.
Amazing.

If I had to choose between spelling it correctly or driving it, I'd definitely choose driving it.
I'll try to get the pic up, it's from my phone, so it's not great. MY wife said I was really flush afterwards.
And Tracy, you can't drift it since it's AWD. But it's the shit.

You can drift AWD cars. I've got plenty of videos of Porsche 996TTs (AWD) drifting. :???::thinking::thinking:
As for the Lambo, the gear ratios really bother me. I test drove one a few years ago and just wasn't as impressed as I should have been. If I had to choose over again, I'd still take the Porsche turbo over the Gallardo.

I won't lie, they are nice cars, but eh...I dunno. I raced one on GA 400 once and slightly pulled away. I expected more from them. Now, I'd definitely pick the new 997TT over the Gallardo, that's for sure.

Well just so you guys can stop this thought, Tracy drifts most often in Demo in gigantic parking lots, so when she said she'd drift it, I assumed she thought it was RWD and could rock it like she does her 240.
Thank you for the offer of the education....I'm not a total retard. I promise.
But, anywho, it's not my car. I'm not trying to ride someone else's wave... I'm just tellign you guys I drove it and really enjoyed it. The interior touches on it were superb and I will not pass up the offer to drive it in the future.
I'm trying to get the pics but the email isn't here yet.

So basically you are saying what looks better doesn't matter, what handles better doesnt matter, what over all performs better doesn't matter, someone's personal preference (performance over a lower performing higher price tag) doesn't matter all that does matter is that you would rather have a lambo over a porsche? Sounds reasonable.. :lmfao:
I just don't get this mentality but then again I dont generally understand people that would rather have a car that has a ton of money into it and "looks nice" but that is the end of it's good traits vs a car that may not be "show quality" but can out perform in EVERY other category...
Oh well to each their own, companies like APC and Dayton keep the economy moving just as well as Apexi and Blitz.

I guess I should atleast post something about the topic while I'm here to lol.
That is a bad ass car Rut and I'm glad to see you got a chance to drive it, I wouldn't have turned it down either :)
I think the whole Porsche vs. Lambo thing is personal preference, enthusiasts who have a lot of seat time in exotics don't seem to care for the Gallardo.. they say its more Audi and lacks the soul of Italian sports cars.
Personally I've never driven either one nor can I afford them yet so I feel an opinion would be useless. The novelty of having a Lamborghini in the garage does appeal to me moreso than Porsche but that is my shallow side of me, the true enthusiast in me will take the 997 Turbo hands down.
The pictures look great though, I believe that is the Gallardo SE and from what I've seen in videos the tone of the exhaust is crazy. Heres a great video of the two:

Then again you have to remember this is not just a site full of enthusiasts, so if your lowly budget car can out brake my supercar, or pull .5 more G's I could care less; because at the end of the day the only opinion that matters, TO ME, is mine.

Although it is unfortunate that the site isn't full of enthusiast as it once was, I can understand the opinion of "the only opinion that matters to you, is you" Also you basically just basically called your self a non-enthusiast that isn't entirely true you are an enthusiast of 64's. So you love cars and what they represent you just don't like care about performance, which is ok. I just don't understand why someone would spend 200K+ on a car that was built to perform when they don't care about performance.

honestly I am an enthusiast, I love all things automotive, whether its a modded 300hp ford focus, a stock Lincoln LS, or a totally custom inside and out juiced '64 (guess which is my favorite?) Im just sayin some people would pick the Lambo based purely on looks, and I have yet to see a porsche that I would pick over a supercar like a Lambo, based just on appearance (though some have come close). Now ask me if I would pick a Lambo or a 12 switch hittin, candy painted, 409ci '64 SS ragtop Impala... my answer will probably be different. Obviously there are cars out there made for appearance, some for performance, and the Lambo again, in my opinion, is a fine showcase of both.
Its probably not the fastest, and the looks may not appeal to everyone, but dammit they're trying

Amen to that... the sound near 5K rpm is magical... I wish I had a sound clip. Especially when you're just standing on the throttle and clicking through the gears...it's like a symphony.
Awesome.
