Well I had my initial court date for my ticket that I got in cumming when I was leaving 129 and it looks like I need a lawyer. Since it isn't my first violation (I got a 77mph ticket on 400 near the permiter) they wouldn't reduce my ticket to under 24mph over. And since I'm under 21 that means an automatic suspended license which I can't have since I commute to school. Reguardless, does anyone know a reasonablly priced lawyer that can help me out? Thanks guys.

I clearly don't care about your opinion.

Do you have anything useful to contribute to this thread? No.
Do you know the circumstances behind the ticket? No.
Do you know that I was speeding? No.
Did I ever say that I was speeding? No.
Do you think I care whether you have had a ticket in a while? No.

And you don't even live in the US so your "i haven't gotten any speeding tickets in a lonnnnng time" shit doesn't even matter. WOW... stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

I'm in the same predicament as you are now. If I lose my license, that means no more college for me and I fail all of my classes the rest of the semester.

Not trying to diss you , but shouldn't you have thought about all that first? Later, QD.

The yellow pages/Google is your last resort. Most of these 'traffic' lawyers won't do jack shit to get you out of anything.

Pay attention to the names that these IA members are giving you and contact them.

If they suspend your license and you have school, won't they allow you to drive from home to school and back?

No. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but you are speaking of the 'limited driving permit' and people under the age of 21 cannot receive this permit.

I can't recall the name of the guy but his office is in down town Marietta, I haven't been in the states for awhile so I can't recall the street names but if you were coming from the East/West connector from Powder Springs to Marietta and come to the intersection prior to the intersection with a church on the left you will see the office to the left, it's a little house off to the side and you should see the sign. I know bad directions but if you happen to find the guy let me just say this..... I had multiple tickets against me for evading police, exceeding the speed limit (120+mph) no tail lights, driving without a license, racing, all in one incident plus I was arrested by county and he got me off all of the charges with nothing on my record, I didn't even have to appear in court. Now keeping in mind that I had just returned from Iraq that same week of the incident and I'm active duty Marines and over 21 :-)

You may be right I don't know. Never been in the situation so I really don't know anything about it I just have heard of people having somethin like that

this is all i found

Limited Driving Permits
If you are suspended for a first mandatory conviction, a first or second DUI conviction, or a first or second points suspension, you may be eligible to apply for a limited permit. Limited Driving Permits may be obtained for:

Going to your place of employment or performing the normal duties of your occupation.
Not having a form of transportation to receive prescribed medical attention or obtaining prescribed drugs.
Attending classes at a college or other regularly scheduled school in which you are enrolled.
Attending a driver education, or assessment and treatment program court ordered.
To and from Ignition Interlock Centers.
The Department may specify specific places you may travel to, specific routes of travel, times of travel, specific vehicles or other restrictions the Department may deem necessary. A limited permit will be non-renewable and will become invalid on the expiration date of permit.

Upon the conviction of a second DUI, such person may apply for and be issued an ignition interlock device limited driving permit at the end of 12 months after the suspension of the driver's license. To be eligible for an interlock permit the licensee must submit proof of completion of DUI alcohol or drug risk reduction program, clinical evaluation, enrollment in treatment or completion of treatment if required by evaluation and installation of an interlock device. At the end of such six-month ignition interlock device limited driving permit, driver may apply for reinstatement of driver's license upon payment of the proper fee.

Yeah you have to be over 21 to gain this permit, since they only let you have it to drive to and from work and home...
