So IA, i am in need of the programming instructions for the keyless entry key fob for a 2000 infiniti I30 base model (non-touring). I know it takes just a miniute to do the sequence and the infiniti dealer wants to charge me $80 which I feel is rape, lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

no way man, i really have been searching for like 30 mins and i've found like 3 different instructions on how to do it. They have all been for the older infiniti's... like the mid nineties Q's. I have tried them and none are working. The I30 was reworked extensively for 2000 and i'm thinking they changed something that might directly effect the keyless entry learning sequence.

i will send that pm out, thanks. I am really new to all this new car stuff, The infiniti is my mothers car and she left it with me while she's visiting family in california. I just figured i'd replace the key fob she lost for her while she's gone. I love this car tho, its so much more comfortable than my 93 NX2000 w/ poly mounts I/H/E and all sorts of other stuff that makes it rigid/loud/vibrates and rattles. Its nice to just glide down the road, not used to it, lol.

should be the same, but on the new nissans you fuck the ignition lock cylinder with the key like 10 times. just jab the key in and out of the ignition like 10 times and when the hazard lights blink press the lock THEN unlock button on the keyless, if you have two remotes you gotta press both locks at the same time then the unlocks so both remotes will be set. i really must be a nissan man cause i only need 10 jabs too :D

ps you should cry to the highest rank on shift at the dealership cause they should not charge you to program the remote, ESPECIALLY if you got the remote from their parts department. but give that a shot it should work

I am still waiting to hear back from BTLFED, mabye he found out the sequence for me. The dealership is NOT wanting come off of that info. They said they'd do it for 1/2hr. labor. I still believe it is ridiculous for something that takes less than 1 miniute.....mabye 3 to walk to the car and back also.
