Thats actually the ez start 1 module....
Never got around to buying and installing the EZ-Start 2 setup because the pullstart wasn't a problem to me.
I know. The original EZ Start will not work with the 2.5R engine, but the module can still be used as a glow plug igniter.

props on a nice car! Good Luck on the sell bro!
Thanks, i'm hoping to have it sold soon. Both are just taking up room.
I found the original box for the PS2 in the back room.
So many views and not a single offer for anything, not even lowballers.
Sigh ... bump

$300 with EZ-Start 2 i will give u 150
Well, I did ask for low-ballers, but that is still a bit low. If you went on ebay it would cost more than that for how the car sits as is, but I don't want to deal with ebay.
If you were to go $250, i'd even consider meeting you part way because shipping it all would cost a ton on a count of the box. Besides, I had to dig this one out at Lowes because most of them had been messed up at the store.

my deal is smelling better and better
YokotaS13: Looks like someone got a good deal, but it isn't the 2.5R engine, no fuel bottle, and no tools. Break in isn't, according to Traxxas, 1 1/2 tanks of fuel. On top of that, managed to flip the thing after 20 minutes of play time?! I would place a bet that one or two control arms might be cracked (I know, it happened to me).
... and I can play that game, too:

With the older Pro.15 engine and a pitiful description.
They may be a dime a dozen, but that doesn't make them dirt cheap.
53caddy: :blah:
Price:
$180 as is w/o the Stanley tool box to carry it all in.
$210 as is including the Stanley tool box to carry it all in.
Fuck the EZ-Start 2.
And I forgot, no fuel will be shipped. I just found out how much of a pain in the ass it is to ship hazardous items.

dont you hate it when people see a cheap price on ebay and want to get yours for the same, just because the ebay idiot did not put a reserve on there he had to sell it for that and like you said yours has the new engine.

Argh this is so damn hard to keep my mouth shut during this thread.......
boostedb16: I have no qualms about what occurred because I asked for it the moment I even mentioned eBay. I shouldn't have even mentioned it in the first place as eBay isn't a barometer for value anyway.
YokotaS13: Exactly, that is why I posted one up. The 'ole eBay is full of extremes and I just decided to represent the other end. I'm not seeking some personal value out of this thing, just a decent approximation of a market value. See it this way:
$350 for the new 3.3 4-TEC
$5 for a fuel bottle
$20 for nitro fuel
$20 for a decent/cheap battery back for the EZ-Start
$25 for a battery charger
$10 for some AA batteries
-----------------------------------------------------
$430 just to play with it!
Add to that a $50 carry box, a few extra glow plugs, a better 4-way wrench, and your over $500. All I was offering was a ready-to-carry-and-go solution for $200 less than that. I see it as a fair deal, but I guess I am completely wrong. Hell, for an extra $150, i'll go out and get the new 3.3 engine and install it, cheaper than new by $50. The only thing that has changed from the 2.5 to the 3.3 is the engine and the EZ-Start motor is supposed to be of a slightly higher torque rating.
Nismo: If you are looking for permission, by all means i'd love to get another persons ideas and opinions, either for or opposed to my own. :goodjob:

OK well here it goes.....
"first place as eBay isn't a barometer for value anyway"
Actually for used items it is. Its the market thats dictating the price.
"The only thing that has changed from the 2.5 to the 3.3 is the engine and the EZ-Start motor is supposed to be of a slightly higher torque rating."
The 2.5 engine has a dispacement of around .16. The 3.3 motor has a displacement of .20. Its about 20% larger. Im sure it has more torque but my 4-tec never had any issues starting so eh. Also the suspension and a few chassis components have been made with a stronger plastic so not to break so likely. Also i believe they changed the shocks to a threaded design.
Now you may be asking why I can get off saying this. I can say this because I have been into rc since 1992. So if that doesnt get me credibility I have been into nitro since 1998. And if that still doesnt get it I most recently owned 2 nitro 4 tecs.
This is a decent price (200) if the car included extra parts and tires and the such. You need to sell it for 150 w/ the carrying case. As previously mentioned they hold almost no value. Its atleast a 50% drop in value. Also the fact that you said there are no broken parts leads me to believe that alot of parts are about to go out on it. The fact that its the winter and not alot of people run nitro cars in the winter because they get really brittle isnt helping anything either.
After having reviewed what you have had to say, i'm just going to have to concede to the fact that i'm going to get nowhere near what I would still perceive as a good value out of what I have to sell. I am in no way downing or dismissing your creditibility, i'm more than happy to have had you post here and welcome your knowledge. I bought the car because I hadn't owned an RC vehicle for about four years. I got my first rc car when I was 5 years old (1984), it was a Tamiya Hornet. I have owned more than one RC vehicle (cheap toys'r'us vehicles not included) since the Tamiya Blackfoot that I assembled myself in 1987 (I think, that going back a bit).
I'm not going to argue with anything that has been said as it will not get anyone anywhere. I only want to state the fact that nothing is going to break on this car as after the accident that broke the a-arms, I dismantled the entire car again to inspect everything.
With this, i'll no longer be selling the car here and will either consider keeping it or placing it on ebay. Thank you everyone for at least posting or commenting.
