For those who have slower cars can do it poker style, and whoever has the best hand wins a prize! (i don't know how the poker style one actually works but, you get the jist)!

how about in April Spring Break weekend we can start here in Georgia and all ride 2 Daytona and either chill for the weekend or turn around and ride back. Because around 285 there's a group that does that every month I think but anything that is planned I'm down because the KY thing is kind of doing it:D

I'm down... here's a thought for you...

Helen/Rome/North GA to Savannah on St Patty's day... Savannah is TOTALLY into St. Patty's, and it's hella fun down here... that way we can all get the highway driving in, the mountain roads, etc.... Come down 75S through ATL, hit 16 in Macon, take off to Savannah (which is at the end of 16 about 2 hours from Macon).

well I know we can do 78 to Augusta and then 1 South to Savannah... more backroadish, and 78 has some fun curves.. nothing too wicked, so stock suspensioned cars won't feel dicked over, but a couple of nice little S curves for the beefed up suspension people to play on.

if we run down to Savannah then we can do a coastal run down to Daytona.. make it a weekend thing.. Day 1 come from North GA to Sav, Day 2 everyone starts at the same time and we end in Daytona. Lowest total time wins (that way someone doesn't lag coming into Sav and then make awesome time the next day and win by chance).

And it's a poker run cause everyone pays like $100, and then winner takes all, or you have 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, depending on how much cash is put up.

I also vote for a "cruise" section if we're really doing this for the poker aspect... people who don't want to buy in but still want to go along for the drive. That way they don't have to pay, but they're not eligible for the $$$ either. And maybe different classes, depending on how many people are interested in going.

Deal's Gap to Savannah is 407 miles... 6.5 hours if you do well in the twisties.

Savannah to Daytona Beach FL is 240 miles... about 3.5 hours of coastal driving.

But I would recommend making it a 3 day thing. Friday morning until Sunday Night. That way those of us who are in Career's can take off a day and still be able to go.

You have destinations, and there would have to be a person already at the destination to say for sure who comes in first... We all start from one point in Deal's gap, and then we set the finish point for day one at, say, the civic center in Savannah. We have a designated start time, and everyone's time from Deal's gap to Savannah is clocked. You get to the civic center in Savannah however you want. But everyone starts in the same place, everyone finishes in the same place. At the end of day 1, all times are recorded. Day 2, same deal. Everyone starts from the civic center, destination is somewhere specific in Daytona. Everyone leaves. Times are recorded as people pull into the location in Daytona, after getting there however they feel like. At end of day 2, all times are added up for the two days, lowest time(s) win.

I live in Macon, I work in ATL and do PR and VIP for Compound and Q100, and I'm up for anything from anywhere north to south. And if we need to hit Daytona sometime, get enough people and I can talk to my Condo Broker for my family and get us a parking garage to end in and a meeting hall for the festivities. Plus they'd probably feed us and advertise just to bring crowds to see the cars and such. But yeah, I love Poker Runs, the card picking way works best personally, as more people have a chance and don't feel pressured to not go due to lack of speed i.e. slow cars, new cars, under construction rides, etc.
