go with the GSR head...get the work done to it...cause the GSR will serve you much better, btw just a suggestion why not go with a type-r head? in a hatch? what is all done to the hatch, as in body mods, weight reduction and such...

I was about to ask why you were still running a VAFC if you had a p28 that's already socketed for a chip. Most of the chips out there are shit. There' s a reason why you tune on a dyno, because different, climates(humidity, temp), elevations, and car setups respond differently. A generic chip, even if it is a "spoon" or whatever else is not going to get you what you should get out of the setup. Most of the Ebay "performance chips" even ones that are labeled spoon or mugen will not make anymore power than a standard ecu. It's not that much to get a tune from Scotty through Mainstream using crome. You won't have to buy anything if it's already socketed and setup to accept a chip. He can put it on the dyno, use a base tune that will be close and dial it in, for 200-300 you can have your car maximizing it's potential. I agree that the next step is to get a set of cams such as a pro1 or m22x but if you do that you better get it tuned with crome. Also invest in a quality header. The setup you have will be fun in a hatch if it's something new to you. Take your time and spend your money wisely on quality parts the first time instead of buying cheap and having to replace it later. good luck

BTW, you are going to be at a pretty low compression with the GSR pistons and a B16 head, even with it shaved. If you could have thrown a set of PR3 B16 pistons in you'd have a much higher CR and have more potential for all motor power.

$$$. what does body kods have anything to do with engine setup? well first off i said body mods..fucking illiterate emo..hooked on phonics didn't work for you did it? i was just wondering if he had any rice or weight reduction to help suggest what mods he should do to get his car to go fast....

Sounds almost like a Poor mans type-r set up. Just make sure everything put together alright and it should be fine! In the future P30 or PR3 pistons would serve u well.
