So I got this widebody Supra shell, and I've been thinking you know what it really needs, a fully built sr20det

Nice dude, yeah its on, that car will be fun on a road course, maybe Ill get a Hollinger 6 speed sequential box to go with it.

Put a boosted LS1 in there. If any car needs a V8 with some oomph it would be the Supra since it weights a good bit.

I debated putting a windsor in it, but with the SR it should make a really nice roadrace car, I'm pretty much setting up everything I own to go to the track now.

The weight distribution of the sr should be nice for a road course car. (did they have to modify the one in the pic to make it sit back that far?)

It doesn't look like they cut the firewall on the one in the picture, but we will see once we put it in. I'm not opposed to cutting things. I can't wait till the supra purist find this thread.

Put the Landcrusier V8 in there if you want a v8.......its what all the Supra chassis are hauling around in JGTC or w/e that shit is.

Apparently, 2JZ is dead.

Maybe cause they're all in 240's ahahahaha.

Who did the widebody?

This is going to be a fun project. A nice set of coilovers, some good brake pads, about 500hp and we should be good.

Could also do the Tundra V8 (3UZ-FE). I heard of a company in Australia that does complete mount kits and adapter plates for the 6 speed, and they also have a 6.somethingL stroker kit.

Could also go the older JGTC route with a 3S-GTE.

The V-8 is too much weight, and the 3S-GTE is a good idea but I already have a ton of badass SR parts, all I'm missing now are the sleeves and a fully counter weighted crank shaft which Ill probally pick up after the wedding.

I say go the 3sgte route, kep it in the toyota family and that motor comes with a strong tranny anyway

What road course are you thinking about doing? Little Talledega?

I want to do AutoX again but I'm making too much power for it now(Not a ton but enough to be unbalanced in a parking lot). Its a weird setup but I think it would benefit from a road course.
