So I finally got the money, time, and will to get out of the families house and moved in with some buddies. All is well so far but then again, two people have yet to move in. Anywho, I was just looking for some pointers or words of advice from those living in similar situations. Thanks.

make sure one person is responsible enough to pay all bills everyone pays this person there share. as far as food goes i would say everyone buy their own food and beverages just works out better that way me and my homeboy have been sharing a crib going on 2 years now and no problems hope my tips help.

me and my buddy got an apt and we share some groceries like soft drinks, pizzas hamburger meat and bread and then stuff like hot pockets or alcohol or anything we specifically bought for ourselves we keep to ourselves....we pretty much have the same ideas on stuff so it's extremely easy....as far as bills go we each right a check to the landlord for our half and then cable is in my name and electricity is in his so that we are each responsible for somthing

Move out by yourself, NOW. You will come to hate it sooner or later.

its fun for a little bit but then youll get tired of living with someone. i would most definitely say put a utilities in seperate names. that way responsibility is shared and also helps each others credit. and most defitniely make sure both names are on the lease so that if someone doesnt pay the other guy aint responsible for it.

either way. make sure that you've got "emergency bill money ready, in the event of some unforetold issue you have a stash of money. be responsible. eventually the bills are gonna get simple as hell. you will begin rolling over money, if you guys are RESPONSIBLE. be fair to yourselves, you've all gotta stake in this living agreement.

Move out by yourself, NOW. You will come to hate it sooner or later.Full time student and working full time. Financially, it's not an option and I don't have the time to support a second job.

go to home depot and get a nice deadbolt lock for your door.Doing so this weekend.

most defitniely make sure both names are on the lease so that if someone doesnt pay the other guy aint responsible for it.Actually, one of the guys that lives with us is the landlord's son, so the lease is on him.

I'll do that.

make a chore list

or better yet, hire a maid- the house is going to get dirty, very quickly.... especially with a bunch of boys

make a chore list

or better yet, hire a maid- the house is going to get dirty, very quickly.... especially with a bunch of boysI got a vacuum, bathroom cleaning supplies, a swifer, and other stuff. The way the house is organized, I only sharing the bathroom, wash, and kitchen with like...1 other person.

i second the maid thing. most places are pretty cheap on aparmtnets. and then youll be able to split that also. you might spend 20 bucks a week getting the house cleaned. pay 20 bucks or scrub a toliet and a shower? i choose pay 20 bucks. ooh and whenever possible use paper plates and plastic utensils. saves on water bill.

definately keep the paper plates handy....plus it keeps the sink empty and your dishwashing is cut down....and about the cleaning....there hasn't been a mess in our apt since the day we finished unpacking
