Maybe number 2, but he punched it at the light as did I and I pulled a car on him. Then when we were on the highway he tried to do the ricer flyby and I punched it again and we went at it up to 120mph where my limiter kicked in and I had 1 car on him.

We both slowed down and did another run from 65-120 again with the same results. We did a 3rd run with the same results and both shut down at 120mph with him behind by just over 1 car.

On the 4th run, he got the jump from 80mph and by 120mph(limiter) I caught back up to him but couldn't make a pass because of the limiter. :lmfao:

I'd put money on any 03+ Spec V against the Endeavor anywhere in the powerband w/ comparable drivers. High 14.70s are capable w/ just the Injen CAI. I/H/E and the Endeavor has no chance w/ a decent driver. If it's an 02 then no deal... 2nd gear, 3rd and final drive was crap in 02, so they were changed for 03+. Also be sure that it was a Spec V. There are SERs (NON SPEC Vs) in 02 and 03 as well. Pretty different than the SER Spec V.

SE-R's are all 2.5, either a 5 speed or an automatic, or spec v with a 6 speed and lsd. There is also a 2.5le, it replaced the non-spec SE-R in 2004. The base is a 1.8, 1.8s's in 2005-06 were available in any color including yellow. There is not a 1.8 SE-R.

i dont quite know what you are reffering to , but i dont drive an altima se-r. i drive an 2003 altima se witch stock from the factory ran 14.2 -14.4. thats not bad for a 3000 pound 4 door monsta. i agree with you on the point of the altima se-r not being so fast of the showroom floor. but for a endeavor to even be side by side with a spec v in stock form is saying something.....

The argument for the car being around 15-16k new is valid. You end up with someone who would have other wise bought a Dodge Neon ending up with a car that has actual potential. Once they get their washer nozzle lights and a few interior neons they are done modding the car. Wow, it is almost 4 in the AM, and for some god knows reason I just read through this entire thread!

I have an '05 Se-r Spec V, minus balance shaft removal, and cams, I am fully bolted, and like Big J, will be boosting by next spring if everything goes as planned.

I personally hate 90% of the ignorant, misinformed people who drive these cars. There are obviously excpetions, but jesus fucking christ, everywhere I go, there is some retard with cheap altezza's and silverstar bulbs in a spec v that thinks his car is gods gift to man. I have come up with a term I refer to as the "Spec V mentality" that properly sums up the majority of the drivers. Now there are exceptions, in fact, from what I can tell, all the Spec guys on this forum fall into that catagory. But still, it sounds like the guy you ran into on the interstate in your Endeavor 2.3 should go home and end his life.

I get so tired of these idiots running around giving knowledgeable people (like Big J) a bad rep for their stupidity.

I will say in the Specs defense, like everyone else already stated, I paid 15K for mine, and I really enjoy driving it. After my wheels, lip, and few other aesthetics modifications it really turned the car around, and made it look a hell of a lot better. Specs can be really fun, great looking cars, they just need a good owner, some $, and TLC.

If you want to play around with a bolted spec 2.3, whether in your Endeavor or EVO, let me know, I am always down for some friendly competition. But I guess if you drove your EVO, until I am boosted, it would not really be any sort of competetion more or less just a raping!
