I know at the meet this friday I talked to a lot of ppl on how my vacation was and I asked if
you guys/gals had seen the pics and all of you said you had only seen a few from my 600+
that I took. So i figured hey what the hell Ill post up all the pics..ok ok well not all of them
but the good ones. Then on top of that I'm going to give you somewhat of a breakdown on
what we did each day.

Day 1 started out waking up at 9am to finish packing and head to the airport for our flight to
LAX. Once at LAX Christine and I had a 3hr layover, from there we had a 5 hr flight to Honolulu.
We got picked up by Jon's friend Freddie and taken to John's house, where we would stay the
week at. By the time we got to the house it was almost 10pm Honolulu time. We went to bed
and woke at 4:30am, Not being able to go back to sleep we decided to go on a little walk. We
had no idea we were on the world famous, Waikiki beach.

After breakfast we hiked up Diamond Head crater. This was a nice walk after eating such
a monstrous breakfast.

After climbing back down the volcano we went back to his house to change and get ready for
another adventure. We went to Hanakapiai Falls and trekked through the jungle. It was lightly
sprinkling in there and I found that pretty cool. once through the jungle we saw a gigantic 200ft
waterfall and John suggested we go for a swim :D We played in the water for a while, but then
Jon had another climb that he wanted us to continue on to. NOTE this part of the "tour" isn't one
of the regular tours, we had to go past some barbed wire fences and up the side of the mountain.
We were climbing straight up the mountain side with only tree roots to hold on to! To wind down
the evening we went and played dodge-ball with some "locals" (some of Jon's friends) at the
public park that was only two blocks away!

DAY 2 In the morning we headed to the middle of Honolulu. Jon took us to a cemetery, an odd
place to visit, right? Well, we parked the car and walked through some heavy brush that spit us
out to a hidden waterfall and pool! The pool had two cliffs to jump off, one for scardy cats, and
one for adventure pros! Oh and there was a rope to swing on to jump into the water. I laughed
at the tour group that came through- I guess this was one of the 'attractions' of the island! They
were all dressed in their shorts and hiking boots! LOL

After hanging out at the 'water hole' we went to Nuuanu Pali State Park, which has a breathtaking
view of the valley bellow; but a gruesome history. This cliff, nestled between two tall mountains is
very significant in hawaiian history because it was where a big battle had occurred and where 400
soldiers were forced off the edge of the cliff. The winning tribe were the ones that gained control of
the hawaiian islands. The wind was so strong at the top of the cliff, it felt like I was going to be lifted
out of my sandals!

Our next stop was one of my favorites; we hopped onto the hwy, stopping at the macadamian farm
where parts of 50 First Dates was filmed. Jon and I had a cup of macadamian coffee and Christine
complained that we were on a major caffeine high- maybe we were. LOL :)

Our last two locations for the day were two beautiful beaches. The local name for the first beach is
China Man's Hat. An odd name for a beach, don't you think? But its actually an island that is just off
the shore that looks like a hat!

We had a nice refreshing swim at this beach, just a quick dip. On our way back to the house, we
stopped at one final beach, just to check it out. This was an other beautiful beach, but we had to
get back to the house. Jonathan was throwing us a TOGA PARTY! We had so much fun! We did
a little grilling out and played a little beer pong.

Someone suggested that we go out to the club- with our Togas!

Day 3 We woke up at 6:30 am yet again :D and headed on an all day trip to the north shore!
Our first stop was at a beach were the sea turtles were feeding right on the shore. Christine
loved this place, she said it was the best part of the trip! I was able to take a few underwater
pictures of them with my waterproof camera case. We hung out with the turtles for about an
hour then headed further down the shores. Our next stop was at another beach where we
played in the ocean and I jumped of a 70ft rock! From there we went to a state park that
preserves an ancient Hawaiian sacrificial ground. It was very hot and dry at this spot. On
the way to our next stop, we saw a shrimp truck. They sold fried shrimp (no breading) in 4
different types of shrimp plate lunches...OHH MAN WAS THAT GOOD!!!

Our next stop was the PIPELINE!!! The worlds most famous surfing beach location. The sand
was perfect, the best I've have ever seen; it was thick grainy sand that was not powdery or dry.
We really just rolled on the beach, relaxing after our yummy lunch. Christine built her massive
castle on the sand and Jon decided to become the "sandman". When we got bored of playing
beach bum, we headed back to the house; but not without snapping a few more pictures and
a panaramic. Christine found a dog to pet- lol.

Day 4: We woke up a little later this morning and treated ourselves to some breakfast across
the street. Today was a bit of a shopping day. We hopped in the car to check out the local market
with Jon and Nick. Jon bought a bag of odd looking red stuff, he said it had a sweet fruit in it. It
was to die for! Our next market was China Town. They had the best looking fruits, veggies and
meats, and the prices were great! $4.50 for a lb of shrimp!

The next market was a swap meet held at the Aloha Stadium; this occurs three days a week.
We picked up some cheap souvenirs and a nice pic of us :D We had planned on going to an
ATV ride so from the stadium we drove about 45 mins north and just before we got there i realized
I had not received a conformation call from the ranch, then I realized I didnt even have my phone.
It turns out that the ranch had no more open spots that day.

Luckily there were open spots for then next day but it was at 8am and only and hour trip instead of
the two hrs we had planned on :( So instead of being too bummed we drove to a secret local spot
mostly occupied by locals. And Christine and I shared a plate lunch; some really yummy short ribs
and Hawaiian pork dish with the best Mahi-mahi. With full bellies we drove down the road further,
to yet another beach where we practiced some body surfing! (i'd have a pic of me body surfing but
John needs to work on his picture taking) :D

DAY 5: We woke up early again, at 6am. But this time we did it purposely. We had to leave early for
our ATV tour! While waiting for the ATV tour to leave, Christine was playing with the horses. She
was mesmerized feeding them oats and petting them. We went on the tour through the Valley of
Kings (priceless land) and our guide pointed out where movies like Mighty Joe Young, 50 First
Dates and others were filmed. We took a few candid pics and were on our way! Jon showed us
a golf club that he had worked at. We parked the car because behind it was a 6 mile trail that lead
to a water fall and another ancient Hawaiian sacrificial location. You can see how thick the jungle
brush was from our pictures!! :D Our beach for the day was a great location for body surfing! The
beach had 8ft waves. That night we ate dinner at Dixie, the restaurant Jon works at. The crab
was awesome!

Day 6: Christine and I had a little time to ourselves and I took her to a botanical garden so she
could get her flower fix. She loves orchids and was amazed that they were growing in the middle
of the city, almost effortlessly. After the garden we had a relaxing evening at John's house. Some
drinks and a little plate food. Just before sun set we headed to Waikiki beach to get some pics!
We spend some more time hanging out in the back yard and then got ready for a private dinner
together. We ate at one of the restaurants close to Jon's house (an Italian restaurant). We went
to sleep at 8pm because we had plans to go out partying that night. Jon and Nick woke us up
at 12:30am! and we stayed out until well after 4am. Club hopping in Honolulu is awesome!

Day 7: I didn't go to sleep!
Upon getting home from the clubs Nick and I stayed up playing video games.
Jon told me the night before to wake him up at 6:30am so we could do as much as possible the
last day we were there! So come 6:20 am, with no sleep, I woke John and Christine. We went
on our adventures to the north shores. On our way there John took us to Stairway to Heaven.
This was a hike, straight up the side of a mountain, including 3,748 steps. On our way up there
we had to climb over a fence with barbed wire and then walk up a hwy no longer used, weave
our way throw bamboo and pull ourselves up a slippery mud covered path. We then came upon
an other fence, with a big hole in the middle of it and on the other side of the fence was the butt
of an old Honda. There was a security guard patrolling the area for ppl who were trying to climb
the steps. There have been countless injuries in the area and it is very hard for the state
government to manage the park so it has been closed off. So after trying to find away around
him without him seeing us (including Jonathan disappearing into the drain pipe) we gave up
and saved the climb for another day! From there we headed back to the North Shore so Christine
could play more with the turtles, she got some awesome underwater pictures! After our times with
the turtles we went to Sharks Cove to do a little snorkeling. We watched as Jon picked up a sea
animal and cracked him open for the fish to feed on. Ah ahaha, he said " Why chase after the fish
when you can have them come to you?!"

Once back at the house we got the idea of having BBQ crab to celebrate our last dinner on the
Islands. BBQ crab is awesome! We went to a local walmart/super food mart and picked up three
dungeones crabs for dinner. Jon played with one of them while Christine prepared the other two
for grilling. We grilled them up and had a kings feast just before our flight home!
