i got brake lines installed and now my brakes squeek everytime i stop. i had some "professionals" check them out in Tampa, but after they tried to fix them it was actually worse..... so if anybody knows a place that really knows their brakes please let me know! Thanx

u gotta give a lil more info there are many reasons y your brakes could be squeking.do u have 4 discs?how old are your pads?wut kind of squeking is it(like a grind, the long squek, short ones etc...)how old is your brake sytem?did they flush out your system when they changed the lines?is your pedal still as stiff as before?

well i still have rear drums but i got new rotora slotted front discs steel braided brake lines and new pads and shoes...when i brake it only squeeks when im coming to a stop(long loud squeek) also not very much pedal pressure, and they did flush the whole system several times but they werent able to figure out what the problem was...it sounds like the squeeking is coming from the rear drums...

if its coming from the back tell a brake place to re adjust them to make sure its the back ask some oe to test the brakes while u listen outside of the car

Why would you put on upgraded brakes on the front and leave the rear stock??? I jsut dont get it. Its quite possable they didnt put some of the required shims back in and/or didnt spray a anti-squeal on the backs of the pads. Also, what pads did you have put on? ? That has A LOT to do with possable sounds... but most people are too cencerned with getting to say "yeah, i have race brakes for my show car "and dont know the consequences of doing this....

well alot of people dont have alot of money to just be throwin out on rear conversions+the upgraded calipers and rotors.some people just arent patient or jus dont care its his car so he goe do wut he wants ya kno:gay: and he is right about the consequences of uprading which is basically alot of squeling when stopping at low speeds it should quiet if you stop fast. but yea u need to find out if its coming from the back or front and get your shims checked and make sure they have grease on them.take your car to pepboys and have them check it for free and come back and let us kno wut they say.

Thank you so much for the advice....while I am at it I think I am going to put a big BREMBO sticker across my windshield and maybe a terminator 3 spoiler/ body kit and then I'll call it a show car. If nobody knows where a good brake place is, then will somebody please delete this thread.

About 80% of a front engine car's braking force comes from the front. so upgrading the front brakes will have a much bigger impact than the rear.
To the original poster - are you in tampa or atlanta? if you're in atlanta then i say go to gran turismo east or balanced performance.

i hope u not referin to me cus i told u u could go to pepboys and find out it dont matter if u go to a shop someone refered u to its the technician workin on your car and if u aint notice a 9 year old could work on a honda so theres no need for a super shop.your having brake problems man like one of the easiest things to fix on a car jus go somewere wit a reputable name or just take the thang to the honda dealership if u want people who specialize in hondas.
