it's a collector's item just like the old one was.

No it isn't, it's just Ford slapping some shit together and throwing Shelby's name on it. Them producing a projected 8-10,000 of them per year isn't exactly collectors item territory either. Maybe in 20-25 years when most have either been abused or wrecked and Shelby is gone, then it'll be considered a collectors item.

that's debateable.

and they're only producing 7000 this yr and no more than 9000 next yr which is still pretty limited production. should be a collector's item in less than 20 yrs time...

Its a nice car but the top of the line Roush is a better buy IMO. Might as well go for a Vette though, if you can afford $45,000 then you can afford $50,000 for a much faster and much more reliable sports car.

they are definately nice cars and for the die-hard mustang fans it is a great investment but if somebody is just looking for an affordable sports car there are alot more options out there that would be better purchases.

Yup mid 10's at 130+ with boltons and a mild S/C port, overhyped...

Where in my post did I mention aftermarket options?? I'm talking stock performance there buddy, nice try though. Handle's like a fucking brick, weighs damn near 4,000 pounds. Yeah, all the talk and promotion they've been doing for it and projections they said for it, then what it actually does when it comes out... yes it is overhyped, and then dealerships feel the need to be tacking on an extra $25k markup.
