My IT guy just gave me a disc with Vista RC2. I know its the final Beta version and is supposed to run pretty damn good. Does anyone know if its a temp install? meaning like after a certain amount of days will it stop working? I dont want to install it and 90 days from now it doesnt work...LOL.
Also is there a keycode needed to install it?

yeah, it will work fine. But you cant upgrade to the final release once its out.
I been running it on a laptop for about 2 weeks now. Its straight and fun to use.
It doesnt have a expiration on it.

I personally haven't messed with RC2 I used RC1 for a while and it wasn't a trial I mean it was mine to use for as long as I wanted. RC2 maybe different but I am not sure. I'll ask other people in my IT dept here and see if anyone else has used it.

brett when you install it will tell you if you have a time limit... much like XP had a 90 day to it, but if it doesn't have a time limit it won't allow you to do patches/fixes w/o getting a license or upragding to a legal copy (normally... i don't know i haven't used it yet)

Okay cool, Thanks guys!!! I am thinking of going with it because this is pretty much the final version if no other major issues are out there for it, so I figured it would be a good way to get Vista for free and run it as a true OS :)

Yea, there's no time limit, my boss has been using it on a PC for the past few months. It works pretty damn good too, you just might encounter some backwards compatability issues if you have an old old program
i tested it when it was first leaked as a beta it sucked maybe ill grab the new version and test it
