I've owned a ga16de and sr20de and sr20det in a b13.
Believe me there is definately a huge difference between the motors and everything going along with it.
Honestly tho, the most fun I had driving the car was when I had an sr20de in it.

I went from a 91 sentra to a 2004 sentra spec v. My brother just traded his 92 sentra, and my dad still drives an 89 sentra. Sentra love.

I had a turbo ga. Pretty fun. about $450 to turbo it, running 5psi off a saab 900 turbo charger, eclipse sidemount, sr20 injectors, maxima fuelpump, custom manifold. I say it put out about 160 or so to the ground. Not to shabby for a car that weighs around 2200lbs. Also they dont like to be supercharged lol. But I say make a cheap turbo kit, rag the shit out of it daily. It will keep going. A fun little beater. Now an SE-R I would not use as a beater, those are worth money to invest in.

^^^ it was a daily beater. So wasnt looking for big power. Could of ran it at 8psi with a tune, and maybe pushed close to 180-190hp. keep in mind stock they put out 115 at the crank so thats like 90-100hp to the ground. My bro has pics of it turbocharged on his camera, since it was 4+ years ago. The pictures I have on my camera are the ones when I supercharged it about 2years ago. I'll get the pictures later since I have to go to my 3pm class now.

I need to get all the pictures of the sentra from my bro's camera but here are some of the SC'd ones that were on mine. Notice the oil covering the engine bay aswell as under the car. Thats what happens when you run over 30psi lol. Total cost of the sc kit was under $200.

Nice, I can probably hook you up with an s15 bb turbo, if you havent already upgraded. We're putting my old sr in a widebody FD, and we also got a g35, that fully stripped thats just been seam welded and is now getting caged. We yanked the vq out and replaced it with an sr. Sr in everything ! lol You should swing by to check them out some time.

The GA16DE would NEVER put the power the SR20DE can but then again the SR would never last half the miles the GA can. IMO GA16DE is a lot better motor but just WAY too slow but you can't expect much from a 1.6.
My friend had a 1994 Sentra XE with 350,000 miles NEVER REBUILD with 175psi compression across the board running strong still but with a different owner.

Changing the clutch takes like 3 hours.
Honestly the hardest part is getting off the axles.
