Im not sure if its easy or not, but how do you replace the cutch slave cylinder on the 240SX? and also, where the hell is it...lol :D Sorry kind of a noob when it comes to this car. The problem that im having is, my oil from the clutch master cylinder is lowering by the minute, plus my clutch pedal is leaking the oil from the clutch master cylinder. Thats why im having to put more oil in the resevoir like every morning. So I was thinking that it was the the slave cylinder. "Im tired of the oil dripping on my left foot."
For reference, you can see where its leaking from the clutch pedal.
So, I need some help a.s.a.p.
Thanx- Chris

slave cylinder is on the trans. loosen the bolts (2x 12 or 14mm head) break the softline going to it free un bolt and unscrew the line. install in reverse bleed system.
************bleeding a clutch is not like brakes************** to correctly bleed system, 1) allow to gravity bleed for @30 min. (bolt it all up and crack the bleeder valve open) 2) pump like brakes, up& down 8-10 times. while still holding the clutch pedal down have someone open the bleeder up. close the bleeder. let the pedal come up. 3) then down, bleed, up. down, bleed, up/ no more pumping.
i suggest you replace both as a unit. (since it appears you are getting fluid in the vehicle(means the master is bad) and most of the time due to sludge build up internal in the master, when you begin to bleed the system it will often blow the seals out. bench bleed the master. 1) place in vice, swap over your res. 2) fill res. 3) run a small line from the output port on master back into res. 4) pump like hell = ) it will push and suck fluid so there will not be a air pocket. any ?'s pm me

the master cylinder is what the pedal pushes.....the slave is on the passenger side of the transmission, if you're getting brake fluid on the clutch pedal and it's leaking around the resivoir, your problem is not your slave it's your master....

so you know the master is leaking, and you're tired of oil on your foot.... but you think it's the slave?

Well I heard that I may need to replace both of them. So most likely im going to do so. But question, where is there a good place to get this done for less and quick? Cause I need my car to go to work in the morning. So, most likely I will have this done on a weekend day. I went to Nissan dealership and they were going to charge me $400 for parts and labor. Thats a bit out of my budget, so I also need some help for a great location.
thanx- Chris

If one is bad... then it's only a matter of time before the other goes too. Thats how I see everything now that works together. Unless you don't have the money for both. And if you're a noob, take it somewhere and ask if you can watch while they fix it.
