my money would go on the b16 swaped hatch

half the race is in the driver but i think i'd have to go with the gsr...

yeah but if you think the usdm gsr motor has 170hp and the jdm b16 has 170hp gsr makes about 4 more torque maybe but the b16 has more mods and im almost positive that the driver can drive better then the guy driving the gsr swaped hatch

if both stock bodies then the vx is lighter...the gsr has more torque but you can run the piss out of the B16. It's too close to call, it all depends on the driver.

torque wins races horsepowere just looks good on papernice quote, just the wrong time to use it, there's actually a forum for that shit. Little do you know about honda's....but that's coming from a 1.8l V6 that has like 114lbs./ft. torque, that is, if you have a V6.

05-30-2005, 01:36 PM
yep the only v6 round here where i am located but u notice the name kl_03 is the name for a 2.5 which is like 160 n 164 i think not shure which is which though but everyone begins somewhere right?

Who ever drives better will win. I Pretty equal it'd seem. I like the TQ on the gsr as a reason to pick it, but then I cant let myself bet on any car w/ a front mount intake.....
Take it to the **track** and see, races w/o slips are worthless...races w/o slips=someone has an excuse

We're all cool. As long as idiot remarks aren't made. Even then, we're still cool because we weren't the ones making the idiotic remark. Hell, I even welcomed you to IA in the CLOCK IN forum. Later, QD.

this is the gayest thread ever

GSR hatch all the way. b16=Tqless and makes less power.

Of course SeanC250 or whatever youd bet on the EG with the b16, CAUSE THATS WHAT YOU OWN.

I tell you what i have 3 hatches you all can run, theyd all make you look bad. stop E-Bench-RACING and go to the track. this is the fucking second time tyouve posted a thread like this

Acutally the usdm gsr and the jdm b16 make about the same power just the gsr has a little more tq and the b16 has more bolt on witch could hurt the outcome also If not done right.

But my thought is ther are equally matched and it would depend on the driver

I live my life 1/4 of a mile at a time.....and for those 17 seconds or less, I am free!

Seriously though, the lugs on both my car and truck require about 96 ft-lbs or torque to put on/off. Is that more than the engines in question?

no, but close.

JDM b16s make 135-140whp 105-110 TQ
USDM GSRs make 145-150whp and 115-120 TQ

Dont go by the FACTORY ratings, go by DYNO sheets, which i have dynoed TONS of sotck b16s an GSRs.

in a street race, GSR , more USABLE tq curve

Thanks. I was just curious as I have never had to deal with those engines. Good info to know.

I've got a 99si w/ b16 that would beat both of the hatches in question. (All Motor)
