haha i finnaly got poped 55 in a 45 placed by a cop he said for appoxamatley 1/2 mile (i think it is less i will pace it with my measuring wheel to be sure). Does cobb county have the same jurisdiction as GSP? by that i mean can they issue a ticket for only 10 over i thought they could only do that in a school zone or construction zone pls enlighten me. also the leo took my tag for suspened reg but yet i have insurance wtf? i have not recieved any suspened tag info in the mail? then the prick wouldnt tell me if any of my other cars are suspened as well . i was in the miata and i short shifted to keep on the down low i roll by gsp and other leos at 10-15 over on the highway all the time and now this. to top it off the leo used his siren as he turn on the blues wtf that just pissed me off. OK let the flaming begin i know for all the bashing someone will have good advice and lead me to the ga code i am looking for. thanks officer stanley :idb:

I thought it was the general consensus for all police stations not to pull you over until you hit over 15mph.
10 is a given
between 10-14 discretion
over 15 automatic ticket

reason why I know this, is b/c HCPD does this

yeah, GHP? or GSP????
GSP can pull you over regardless of your speed, I forgot to read that.. but they usually give you the 10 over, in most CASES, not ALL

I got pulled over on I20 coming back from the Jakel (sp?) Island last month and I was going 91 in a 70. Had the license and registration ready for him before he got to the car. He asked me how fast I was going and I told him high eighties and he responded "you're and honest man" and started telling me about losing my money to his county, as well as my speeding is not worth it since the time I saved in speeding I lost in getting pulled over. Then he told me not to speed, and said there are more cops set up the road ready to pull me over if I continue. He let me go. I was like fuck yeah! I going to be honest everytime I get pulled over:)

also the leo took my tag for suspened reg but yet i have insurance wtf?
Just because you have insurance doesn't mean that your registration can't be suspended.
then the prick wouldnt tell me if any of my other cars are suspened as well .
That's not his position. That's probably more up to you to find out through the tag office. Later, QD.

Under the law you can be charged for speeding for going 1 mph over the limit, but most courts will throw it out if its within 10 mph of the limit (due to numerous reasons) which is why most cops won't bother writing the ticket.

both tickets i've received was for 10 over.
45 in 35 (peachtree city/fayetteville)
- late sunday afternoon, peachtree city police (i believe) officer was extremely rude.
81 in 70 (on the way back from savannah, cop knocked it down from 11 to 10mph)
- GSP officer was extremely nice, commented on car, asked to please slow down and be safe.
$130 each.

Hail. For that matter, technically, you can be arrested for speeding. Later, QD.
