i know this might sound wierd but you know how when you have your car on and you turn the ac on and it kinda shakes a little bit and motor gets a little louder..thats kinda how it was..i didn't have the ac on at the time when i noticed this..the rpms jumped a little...not too significant though... and it was lowered quite a bit and the rear suspension to squeek a pretty good bit when i hit a little bit of a bump..i don't know if thats fixable but i don't want to buy it if its gonna be a hassle to get it fixed..what do yall think???

What is it idling at? Check for broke motor mounts.

it was idling at around 8 to 900..but would jump up to like 1300 but only lasted a couple seconds

check the pcv valve & air filter and spray some carb cleaner on the throttle body then wipe the dirt off it..., and put some fuel inj cleaner in the gas tank.......don't soak it down unless the car's running and you open the throttle while you're spraying ( you don't want to foul the plugs ) if that still doesn't help another honda problem is egr passages being restricted with carbon and crap, clean the egr valve when you take it off to get to the ports. motor mounts is another possibility but the fact that the idle jumped up makes me lean toward the idle air control valve/intake/fuel system being dirty.

That's a bit high if you didn't have any accessories on, it should be like 700rpms, after warmed up at least.

If it's jumping, and he's screwed around with it, chances are vacuum leak of some sort, knocked something loose. I know the b16a3's have FITV's that tend to cause vacuum leaks, dunno if the A2's have them or not.

If you get a chance, unhook the intake and with the engine idling put your finger in front of the holes in front of the butterfly valve, closing them off one at a time, and then cover both holes, see what the idle does in those situations.

Would check to make sure premium fuel is being run in it too.

i appreciate all the info guys..the only add ons that i know of are cold ait intake, headers, and exhaust..it still sitting at the dealership now up at bill heard of kennesaw..i just didn't want to go ahead and buy it and learn that it was something major wrong with it..but with 70k miles for 9990 is it worth buying..i drove it and it pulls pretty hard, smooth shifting, the only thing fishy about it is that the car was brought to them without a cd player in it..and for some stupid reason the previous owner took out the stock si seats and put in what looks like grey integra ls seats..i don't know..what do yall think???

If it was me, I would try and get a Prelude for that price. But it might not be the direction you want to take, I would pass personally.
