If I recall correctly some of the questions are tricky. BRB I took notes in my DMV book.

You should take that riding class at that Honda place in Alpharetta, you can get your license after 3 days is what I hear. No permit neccesary. It sounds pretty cool.

Most crashes happen on short trips, less than 5 miles long, just after a few minutes after starting out

Most riders are riding slower than 30 mph when a crash occurs

No matter what the speed, helmeted riders are THREE times more likely to survive head injuries than those not wearing helmetes

There are two different levels of coverage: three-quarters and full face. WHichever style you choose you get most protection by making sure that the helmet

Meets US department of transportation(DOT) and state standards(Helmets with a label from the Snell Memorial Foundation gives you an added assurance of quality)

Fits snugly all the way around

Has no obvious defects such as cracks, loose padding or frayed straps.

Whatever helmet you decide on, keep it securded fastened on your head when you ride. Otherwise it may fly off your head before it gets a chance to protect you

WEAR THE RIGHT GEAR
An approved helmet

good god, man (or girl). You should not be on a GSXR 600 if you're a new rider and know ZERO about bikes (like how to get a helmet).

Learn how to operate one before you get on a freakin racebike. (It seems that tehre are lots of noobs out to maim themselves lately.)

As for the permit test, 20 questions on street signs, 20 questions on motorycle riding and alchohol.

They ask things like what to do if you're about to go over a big bump, what parts of the lane to ride in, how to properly seat a passenger, the safe way to make lane changes with riding partners, etc.... the manual gixxer linked to has all the info

Maybe he should learn how to ride his bike and do some newbie rides before he is let loose on the street with other bikers. (Primarily for the safety of the other bikers)

There's also the issue of not being allowed to ride on highways with just a motorcycle permit

In all honesty man, 95% of the riders I come accross ONLY have there permit lol :lmfao:

yea, it is funny how most guys don't have their MC endorsement. I went the MSF route. If this is your first bike, the road test will probably kick your behind. That's unless you just get lucky or have a forgiving tester.
