I stopped by the shop today and they already had the car running. Said it sounded great for being sitting for the last 8 months. They said I should have the thing tomorrow. They will be doing the following beforehand:

30K mile Honda tune-up(including new distributer, cap, points, rotor button plugs)
4 new 185R12 meats
alignment
new master cylinder for brakes
new front rotors
new battery
new thermostat
all new fluids
new ignition key and cylinder

I believe that is everything. Basically, the car will be pretty nice when it comes out. He said the engine and tranny both felt great and that the tranny was an upgraded ones. The mech. wasn't there, today and I was told he would fill me in on what I do have, but the other guy did say that the gears were shorter and that it was a popular tranny swap. I can't wait. you might already have the accord 5-speed swap in it, if not you should do that. with a little massaging and some old school parts, believe it or not the EB3 1200 motors can make pretty decent power for the weight of that car.

btw, the one at NOPI had a supercharged 442 with a lot o nitrous, its supposedly in the 6 second range in the quarter. i bet that bitch is insanely scary to drive with such a short wheelbase.

Are you getting the work done at Pro Import Services? I have used them quite a bit for my turbo 200sx. THey do great work. By the way, congrats on getting your car back.

Hondabuilder. This car actually has a better set up than that. It has an 83 1500 engine with the carb from the 79, so I still have the manual choke. The tranny is a 5 speed from an 81 Civic 1500. So it has the (back in the day) popular tranny swap with a final drive ratio of 4:40-1. Later, QD.

nice, my dad put in an Accord 5-speed tranny when he had the original 1200cc engine in it. i'm thinking VERY seriously about fabbing up a tube frame front with B or K series mounts. that car would be NUTS with nothing but a GSR swap! You would like it, he has the old school IMSA "widebody" fender flares on it.
