Who won each class? I heard gastroker won the showdown class in his red 2G eclipse running a best of 10.3!
I guess retro won the FWD, congrats man.
Who won AWD and what were they running?

It was a blue Evo that won the AWD/RWD class. Dunno who he is though. He was running low to mid 11's and trapping around 130 IIRC.

Yeah there were a lot of cars that ended up having to get towed home including some of the Kills Forum guys but I'll let them speak for themselves if they want to. http://forums.importatlanta.com/images/smilies/shiftyninja.gif

LOL Good thread Jason.. Silverdollar owns me also.. 300 to have it towed back to Kennesaw.. LOL I knew I should have just pulled the engine Saturday like I said I was gonna do.. Mine broke a Piston Skirt in the burnout box.. No big deal though. That engine was coming out anyways.. the only thing hurt was the cylinder wall and the rod. The crank has a little mark on it, the cam is fine, heads are fine.. oh well shit happens.. I'll be back out soon..
although on the bright side i had a new best for all motor and a little 100 shot..

We didn't get a chance to compete because we broke a half shaft in the morning, and missed qualifying while trying to get replacement, but off the trailer the 240 went 11.84@124, next pass it went 11.48@125, then we broke the half shaft. After we got it fixed, we got it back out and went 11.44@125 (pretty similair time to before). The very next pass was 11.26@126, but the FINAL pass of the day, hotlapping it like crazy to get a last run in, was 11.06@128. 23psi, GT35r, AEM, stock head, built block on the RB25. It's an easy 10sec street car. It's also a full weight, full interior street car. 2960lbs according to SDR's scales. I wanted the modified class, and I'm pretty sure we would've won, but no biggie. We have slips to back up the car, so it all worked out. I think we qualify for the "blown up" list based on the fact that we missed all the competitions, lol. A pretty fun day either way.

Yes, that's our drift car, lol. 60ft's were 1.5-1.6. I was making adjustments like crazy, but it's got Megan racing STREET suspension on it, so it wasn't the easiest task, lol. There's no doubt it'll go 10's, but it needs to hit the 1/8th faster. 7.1 1/8th mile ET isn't good enough, but all in all, not bad for a drift/street car. "Multi Purpose Terror" now I suppose.

Was that the black s14 on drag slicks? You still suck, but that car was bad ass and a damn rocket out of the hole. Saw a few lethal cars running some good #s.
In other news, the blue evo that won AWD class was Rusty, a customer of ours. I got 3rd (I think) because Rusty took me out in the brackets. I should have gotten second, cause I was running faster times than all the other cars (Even my 12.8 pass missing 2 gears). But that's life, haha.
LoL, I managed to make it home okay, but I only ran 4 times. Best time was 12.1 @ 113mph with a 1.8 60'. Need to get more power, I think. Stock turbo just dies top end.

No, ET Streets. It was OK out of the hole, just not setup for drag racing. Yes, I still suck, and you're still a piece of shit, so we're all good I guess.

Yep. :)
Ahh okay. Well it seemed to have been working, because he was owning everyone off the line, lol. I saw the last couple runs he made once I got eliminated. Very nice car. He was SO close to the 10s by the end of the day, too. Crazy how the car kept improving on his times while hotlapping.

It was working for what it was, just not what it could be. We don't really care about drag racing, we just went for the hell of it. It's really a drift car, but I guess it can do decent at the drag strip now too. If there was more than 5min inbetween runs, it would've gone 10'80's. I don't know that it's much faster than that the way it sits, unless we start stripping it, or turning the boost up/adding power, and that would ruin the point of the car, although more power is always inviting. It's supposed to be a full weight street car, XM radio and all, but with the ability to drift with the best. Drag racing was secondary, but if it works then so be it.

That 11.0 time it looked to me like you lifted at around 1,000ft mark. :ninja: By the sound your motor made when you were doing the burnout I was guessing a broken valve spring. I heard it as soon as it happened, whoops, there goes crafty's motor. I had my lady with me and she was bugging me to leave early so I didn't get a chance to meet some of you guys as I had intended. There were definately some quick cars out there. Does anyone know what happened to that GN that was at the end of the return road with his hood up? He was running well.

That was a nice run on your 12.1, I was very impressed with your driving. With a little more power and your ability to drive that car you could have definately taken the class. I told my girlfriend when we first got there and i saw you at the line that you were a good racer and you bogged and missed a gear. lol. She said, "That didn't look like a very good run to me". But you attoned for it and didn't make me look like a liar. You managed to put up better times every round than your man too didn't you? :D

Yeah, it's probabaly the cleanest 240 you'll ever find. There's been a lot of time and effort put into that car...many, many long nights! 1st-3rd were spinning all the way to the rev limiter. We actually thought it would go 11.50's, but when we went 11.8 off the trailer, we knew it was faster than we thought. We really wanted to hit 10's when we saw how fast it really was, but we couldn't get enough runs in, nor was there enough time inbetween runs. We're happy with 11.06 though. There were a bunch of fast cars there, so it looks like we weren't the only ones who did well. Congrats to everyone else as well.

LOL lifting at the 1000... What purpose would that serve..;) Remember my car has never seen the 10's...:D
Yep we thought it was something in the valvetrain also.. but i pulled the Valve covers and there is nothing out of place, all the springs are fine and so are the pushrods..

Yea, SDR seemed to be eating cars left and right. I saw Clark drive in and trailer out, H&M broke the Crx but got it back running, heard Peter broke an axle, Trihn had the white EG that was the fog machine, Jason's H22, Crafty's car, yellow neon, and other honda's broke axles.
As for our cars, the S2000 broke a rear diff mount, and the best of all was my little beater finally broke with too much spray. It held 2 passes with a 75 shot and picked up a full 1.5 secs and about 15mph. Then we put the 250 shot on it for fun. That was the fastest reving D series EVER for about 1.5 sec until the nitrous backfire blew the filter apart, blew every vac line off and the plug in the end of the intake manifold. Car still runs but I think it burnt an intake valve. This was all on a bone stock 250k mile D16A6. You just can't kill that motor. Later.

Yeah my best 60' was a 1.7 which isn't great at all. I had the power and the trap speeds for an 11.9 but SDR wasn't giving it up that day, ha! I'd love to get into the 11s with the stock turbo, but it's real hard because you just fall on your face past 4.5k, can't hold the power past that.
I may try again sometime, or I may just say fuck it and upgrade the turbo, haha. Thanks for the props, btw - tell your girl that I really don't suck at driving, hahaha. Tray didn't run his car 'cause we have a deal that one of us has to have a car that runs and isn't broken, hahaha. ;)

Here's the latest news.. My block is fine.. The cylinders will be bored 10 over and will be clean again.. New rods, pistons, bearings, and oil pump have been ordered.. I should be back up in 1.5-2.5 weeks. It all depends when the rods and pistons get here and how fast we get it all balanced.. So i'll see you guys soon..

Well there was an 11.2 run if I'm not mistaken, that is what it shows on the video that's posted up in the other thread. That's where I took that number from unless it was an 11.02 and I looked at it wrong. Either way, you definately didn't show what your car was capable of. Not until you blew it up anyway. lol. Are you sure that was just a 100 shot that collapsed a piston skirt???

The car definately looked good. I could tell even on the 10.3 run that you didn't come out of the hole as well as you are capable of, but when you hit second it looked like the car jumped about 70ft without touching the ground. lol. The best run of the day as far as a race goes was you against the H&M CRX that was nice. Where in McDonough are you? PM if you want, I've lived in McDonough my whole life.

Yeah there was a 11.22 or 11.24 run I think... I didn't see the video. I guess i'll watch it.. But yeah It was ony a 100 shot and it was pilled to run rich.. I noticed this morning that my Walbro pump isn't turning on when I turn the key (which it should be)... I'm thinking that maybe on the pass before it went real lean and then in the BO box it let go.. Who knows... I'll rebuild it and be back out soon..
(edit)LOL I just watched that video.. I didn't launch hard at all.. That Sucks.. and you can't even hear the bottle come in right after the car shifts into 2nd... Bottle pressure must have been low..
lol, I know it was almost like a slow roll into the throttle. You easily had another .2 in 60ft alone.

Crafty, i thought your car was supposed to be like hi 9s low 10s...maybe i read about the wrong car. Did you go lean and get a ringland? Hate to hear it happen as I have destroyed SEVERAL engines this year from stupidity to unthinkable accidents and know how it feels to get sacked hard in the wallet. Any idea why you went lean (if thats what happened)

Like Jason said the fastest my car has gone in 10.811 with a 1.71 60, so there are still a few .10s there just in the 60ft but I had an extra 100 shot that I didn't spray on that pass.. I'd say maybe low 10s with a perfect pass.. maybe..
And yeah I think it leaned out on the pass before cause normally it backfires at the end of the track when I let off because of all the extra fuel but it didn't that pass, I didn't think anything of it at the time :( .. I let the car cool off and pulled in the BO box it got to 4000-4500 and let go..
I have my inline 255 pump on a toggle switch, but the one in the tank is wired to the key.. I'm kinda thinking that the inline pump wasn't on (even though i checked it twice).... but oh well.. I'm gonna order the Nasty Performance fuel cell and just run a Areo 600 or 1000 pump once I get the Cash..
I ordered a wideband (LM-1) monday, maybe that will help prevent that from happening again..
It'll be back up and going soon.. I talked to Proline yesterday and Eric and Steve said they would have it done in a week from when I get the parts.. Which should be here this friday..

you should get the dynojet wideband...it has a warning light for when it goes lean and i can show you how to set up a warning buzzer on it as well for when you go lean. How much power you making? One walbro intank should carry you to 600rwhp reliably. I would do that before i went a more expensive route

You can also set up the wideband with the nitrous so if the a/f is not right, it will enable the solenoid(s) sorta like a window switch. The Dynojet is the way to go.

I stay in the Eagle's Landing area.
Good deal, I'm out around Ola but I'm usually traveling southeast for work and I try to avoid going across town if I can help it. In the last ten years traffic has gone so unbelievably crazy it's a pain in the ass trying to get from 81E up to I75.
