View Full Version : 93 Dodge dynasty CHEAP dependable daily

Alright my mom wants to get rid of her old car, she bought it in 93, with really realy low miles. the tranny went out in it in 2001, she bought a BRAND NEW tranny from the dealership. And than i started driving it, the motor started acting funny after i used it to tow my old neon home :lmfao:, which eventually lead to a blown head gasket when my sister started driving. so the motor was replaced with a 75k mileage motor a year and a half ago. The car runs perfect like new. I went and picked it up from my sister in alabama, she stopped driving it b/c it wouldnt pass emissions in montgomery. the emissins guy said it just needed a o2 sensor, it's never has been replaced since we had the car.,so im 100% sure that is the problem its not throwing any CELS or anything. Car has 203k on the body, paint is pretty bad, rust spots on the roof and peeling on the hood, and eveyrwhere else is dull. A/c has a hole in the line which can clearly be seen in the engine bay. driver side window motor doesnt work, and the headlights work but after 2-3 hours of driving they cutoff and cut back on randomly.. but the brights work all the time. The car has alll the hwy miles on it, been driven back and forth to alabama all its life. interior is clean and not torn up at all. car has never let us down very dependable car.

i thought they didnt aswell, but my sister said it wouldnt pass emissions. I had my protege registered in montgomery 1 year and a half ago b/c it wouldnt pass emissions in GA. Me and my sis dont talk too much, im just goin by what my mother told me. I dont know if they recently start doin emissions or what, i thought of taking it and seeing if it would pass up here, b/c my sis could be full of shit, but thats another story... :D . But all i know is my sis bought a new car, and i went down there to montgomery and picked it up, b/c my mom wanted to sell it, might take it up the street this week and see if it will pass.

bad ass DD!! my dad had one and i think it was late 80s and from trips and shit it had over 300k three years ago when he sold it for 1200 lol

Correction on the emissions test, not sure if it will fail or not.. but like i said its prob the o2 sensor. havent really tried to look into it or go see if it iwll pass

the gas mileage is great from montgomery to Conyers it only took half a tank. it could use a good tune up Plugs/Wires. thats it besides the things mentioned
