I am having a problem with my Firefox. Or something. On a few message boards, whenever I make a post, when I try to use a punctuation key, a "tool bar" pops up at the bottom of my screen. Not MY tool bar, but another one pops up above it. I just now realized it is only doing it on phpBB forums. Anyone know what's causing this? Thanks. Later, QD.

where the asian people at ??
Theres a few ways you can kill that. It probly got installed automatically from some site you went to... You SHOULD be able to go to your control panel on the start menu, then go to add/remove programs and then find it and uninstall it.
You REALLY need to scan for spyware and remove it for good. If you don't have anything try getting Adaware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/). Scan with that and that should get it. It's also a good idea to have some kind of virus protection if you don't already for stuff like this. I would suggest AVG (http://www.grisoft.com/doc/Programs/lng/us/tpl/tpl01) its free and so is Adaware so...
Theres a few other things you can do to get rid of it but try these first. You'll probly want to close down your browsers while you scan. After closing all of them hit ctrl+alt+del, click the processes tab and search down the list for firefox.exe. If you see any of them still open, click them and hit end process to make sure theyre not hiding in the background...
If this doesn't solve you problem, let me know and we'll move on to the next step...
Good luck!

This only happens on phpBB boards, though. And this is the only wierd thing going on with the computer. Later, QD.

A lot of spyware programs and things like that will only show up in certain circumstances...
Is the tool bar coming up as part of your browser? Or is it actually part of the phpbb page?
Either way I'm pretty sure Adaware and AVG should take care of it...

I've had AVG and adaware for a while now and it doesn't pick up on it. Later, QD.

Everytime a new one comes out, my AVG automatically pops up saying it's updating. Later, QD.
You could try downloading spybot and the microsoft spyware program and see if they catch it. Sometimes you gotta run all three if one won't catch something. I've had that happen before...

Get it on the screen, then hit ALT+Print Screen. Open Wordpad and hit CTRL+V. Save that file. Email it to me. I'll help you get it off your screen.
