its one of the fastest made. and kinda heavy. 1300ccs compared to 600s, 750s, 1000s, its a beast of a machine.

sorry I hate busa. My buddy and I both blew by a busa in the mountains on ninja 250s. They are fast and great in a straight line but suck for turns. I have a feeling that the zx-14 will be the same.

They are comfortable, fun and make good distance cruisers. I have seen people on them that have blown by me in the twisties (post-accident). very powerful and great platform for upgrades. not the best for a starter bike... but if you like than pursue.
he(or she) that holds the throttle in the hand has the control of how they ride. self control would be a must

 <being on a bike is like you having wings>

Sweetie, you have no idea. after multiple wrecks, a beaten damaged brain and body, the only time i really feel alive is running wolf pen, richard russel or some of the lesser known roads thru the mountains.

yeah wings........ and love.

weight is one, but the biggest is the length. That longer the bike the harder it is to throw around. That was the reason I was able to pass the busa and a few other bikes. THe ninja was light and small so I could throw it around, but it did not have enough power.

Yeah, I'll never forget the track day I did once where some idiot actually showed up on a Busa. It was funny.

Lol. I'll take you for a ride on the Yami R6... unless you weigh more than me! :-) j/k

The Hayabusa is a fast bike... but make no mistake... it is the SUV of motorcycles. The only thing it really has going for it is that its the 2nd fastest mass-production bike on the market (it used to be the fastest till this year's ZX-14 edged it out).

Its a touring bike, which means the ergonomics are designed for long hauls. It is also very heavy and very wide which means that it is a lot of work to get it around corners and turns and things. Personally, I think that 'regular' sport bikes are already fast enough to where you dont' have to sacrifice maneuverability and light-weight for acceleration.

GIXXERDK
09-30-2006, 01:04 AM
lol why you say that?

You probably couldnt handle the mass acceleration, not to mention how big the bike is. If it falls over, you think you can pick it back up?

Tarzanman

A new rider shouldn't be on a hayabusa anyways (not if they want to stay accident free).

All the 1000 bikes look pretty. For the poster that mentioned Ducatis.... they just tend to require more TLC than the japanese bikes, and unfortunately.... parts and service for them is considerably more expensive than for the japanese bikes.

Nothing wrong them, though.... I got to test ride a Ducati 999 earlier this year.... easily the fastest vehichle I will probably ever pilot myself.

im not trying to buy that and even if i would get a bike now i that wouldnt be my first pick. but that doesnt mean that i would look forward to gettin it when im ready. i maybe short but im strong...please believe it.
