lol at B...dog you wildn out... naw man see a GSR stock is perfect for a small amount of boost as to wer the compression rates of a TyTe-R are to high...plus IMO GSR are best for a Boosted buile either with a Turbo or Supercharger, as to were a Type-R would be better for a N/A build..that's just my opinion though...

yeah i dont know about the usdm version. I've only ridden in a teg with a jdm ITR swap. Could very well rev to 9k too

usdm revs to 9k too, and the best teg for boost will be the LS because of the super low compression of the b18b. the type-r comes with a great amount of hp, but its actually really hard to modify, if you dont know what you doing, the mods you put on there will LOWER hp rather than increase....type-r has longer gear ratios, i believe, and the tranny also comes equipped with LSD...aside from mechanical differences, the inside of a type-r looks super duper cool with the black leather and red stitching  reminds me of a pair of reebok solja's i use to own.....

i think the gsr is best 4 boostcuz it comes comes with beefier internals than a ls. jus change the pistons for a high boost 2 lower compression correct me if im wrong:goodjob:

If you're gonna go that far in and replace pistons, who really cares about the rest of the internals that are stock?
"better" completely depends on what you want to do, where you want your power, what you can afford etc. This is like asking "what should I eat for breakfast?"

USDM B18C5 (Type-R) is 8,700 with 190-195hp and think the B18C[R] redlines around 8,900 w/ 205-210hp. There's also differant generations of the ITR engine with the latest version ('00-01) having the slighter better intake cam from the Civic Type-R (3° higher intake duration). Compression ratio is 10.8:1.
B18C & B18C1 (SI-R/GS-R) redlines at 8,200 with 170-178hp and has a 10.6:1 compression ratio.
Gear ratio's are differant and the ITR has a LSD.
As for the car itself, ITR's have slightly beefier suspension and sits about an inch lower stock. 22mm USDM and 23mm JDM rear sway bar while the GS-R has a 14mm. Five lug suspension on all but the '96 ITR (4x114.3) and GS-R's all have 4x100. Obviously the ITR has a taller wing and interior pieces and seats are differant. There is a little bit extra bracing in the unibody itself on the ITR but some weight removed from other areas.
This should keep you entertained for a lil bit :D
