So my wife is doing this BC study for this company and they are still accepting more women for the study... basically its the final phase of the drug's release 1/2 of the women get the new drug 1/2 get the compititors drug... all are FDA approved meds just final study stages of it... and it is real meds.

They pay your BC cost for like 15 months, i know that alone saved my wife 40$ a month in med cost + they give you 50$ per doctor visit you go to (you are signed up for 6 i believe spread out throughout the entire study). huh? no this came through her school i believe Mercer School of Pharmacy... its a pretty large study though. its for a major drug company.

Hey girls! This is Kate!



I am in a birth control pill study and I thought I'd let you all know about it. Here is the information:



There is a 25% chance that you will get Yasmin (which is already on the market) and a 75% chance that you will get the study drug. Know that it is actual birth control and you will not get pregnant unless you miss some pills or if you have sex without a condom while you are taking antibiotics. And even then there is a small chance of getting pregnant. This study is not to see if the drug is effective; they know that it is... they are testing the side effects and things like that which is why they are comparing it to the Yasmin on the market.



1. You get $50 per office visit that you make and there are 6 within the 15 month study.

2. You get $50 for every subject that you refer to do the study (so make sure you tell them my name - Kate Firestine - so I can get my $$$!).

3. Birth Control Pills are free for all 15 months.

4. You get a palm pilot and you have to record a daily diary in it... it is sooo simple; it asks you if you had bleeding that day and how you feel. It takes about 15 seconds.

5. You have to take other questionaires throughout the study and those will automatically show up on the palm when you are to complete those. They take about 5 minutes to complete.

6. You have to submit the palm information once a week through a phone line. All of the devices that you need are provided.

First you need to call 404-295-6500 for pre-qualification. Then you call 404-295-6005 and speak to Sally Parker. She is who to contact with ANY questions regarding the study. She will also set up your appointments and things like that. Make SURE you give her my name so I can get my referral money! Sally is wonderful and very knowledgeable.
