Hey guys! I just acquired a new bike, and I would like to get my tag. Do I need my licence for it? or a permit will do just fine to get my tag. How much does it cost? I'm not getting my licence yet till I went through the MSF course.

Proof of insurance. Get it registered before 30 days, if not you get a fine lol

I already have proof of insurance. So all I need is the receipt of the bike purchase and licence?

I just brought everything I got when I bought the bike. Go look on the DMV website, it has all the info

Bike tag will run you $40 (that is what it cost me, anyway). You need the bill of sale, and the title. I don't remember the lady at the tag office asking me for my proof of insurance... but bring it along anyway.

The proof of insurance will be in the computer system already. You don't need a liecenes to get a tag and it should be about 20 to 50ish. I am not sure if there is a advurom(sp) tax on bikes so that maybe where the 70 bucks was from

I didn't have a license or have to prove insurance when I got my tag. I had insurance, they just didn't ask.

Yeah tags normally run about $40 dollars that how much my Mom, Dad, Brother and I paid for ours. Yes you can have a permit, because that is all that I have at the current time.

I recently bought a 06 gsxr in Florida. I didnt pay any sales tax or anything on it I want to know how much it will cost me to register my bike and what is the process of getting the tag for my bike.

LOL yeah..But I didn't get the Busa. I just get a cruiser bike insted since I don't plan on killing myself. I'm taking the MSF course first before I hit the road..and once I'll get it, I'll call ya.
